I am a returning player with an undead main. I found out there’s a huge relevant quest to forsaken called “return to lordaeron” which is started in Oribos in shadowlands.
I hear there were skips to get to this point. However, on my lvl 60 character, I found none.
I started shadowlands, got to Oribos. Menethil lady which starts the quest no where to be found. Then I keep continuing - they send me to Bastion. I realize this is the beginning of the whole Shadowlands campaign.
Is it impossible to start Return to Lordaeron without completing shadowlands entirely? This is ridiculous, especially if you are an undead player.

I’m not sure if you can skip to that if you haven’t done the SL campaign.
I do know that for characters that have, it unlocks when you skip to the Zereth Mortis stuff (if not before). I think you’ll have to do the SL campaign at least once on your account if you want to do anything significant in SL content anyway.
You can always go look for the Threads of Fate NPC out back of the inn. But again, that might still require the campaign completion. Dunno.

You’re going to need to go through the SL campaign, since you don’t have a previous character which has already done it to unlock all the skips.
Luckily it should be easy to accomplish and you have until Sept 5th to get it done if you’re wanting to do the Forsaken heritage quests.
Actually I think they plan to make it easier. There’s this line from the blue post:
Since currently you have to talk to her in Oribos, I wonder if they plan on removing any other requirements. I wouldn’t commit to doing the whole SL campaign yet, personally.

Might be worth OP copying their character to PTR and seeing if Orgrimmar Calia will give the quest or still requires something.
