The whole Helf vs anti-helf debate/war is the most ridiculous thing in the wow fandom by far.

It sure seems like there’s a lot of that going on these days, (doxxing I mean, since the OP pulled his post). Frankly it is something Blizzard would do well to address, as well as our Government agencies where possible. Personally speaking? I’d love to know how it is possible if a person is only sharing their real world information with Blizzard, (as all of us must necessarily do to maintain an active account) such information is getting out and enabling this sort of behavior to occur.
It sure looks and smells when that happens like someone is going into our account data and leaking our personal information. The sheer fact that it ‘is’ happening also reaffirms many of my biggest concerns, as well as why I firmly believe the time has come for Blizzard to revisit how they handle harassment and online bullying, be it from a social media site, a known streamer, or otherwise.
But yeah, don’t we have better things to do? Play the game? Have fun?

The helf community that wrote the high elf manifesto and started the discord for it before void elves were even a thing are the most toxic community to come out of all this. They harassed devs on twitter, caused a CM to leave, had a channel dedicated to hate speech vs anti-helf or anyone they felt was stepping on their toes. Lots of report brigading on twitter, here, MMO-Champion. I’ve always been for high elves, but I would have gladly watched their dreams crash and burn. They don’t deserve high elves.

Wow. Just yeah. Totally unacceptable. When are we as society going to stand up and address these sorts of people and take them to task for the many people they have wronged over the years? This issue is not going to go away if we pretend it does not exist.
cartoon elves are srs business. We should just retcon them out of existence. It is objectively the best solution.
