Long story short, the blue post said you could fly in many of the zones, and earlier ptr testing showed pathfinder not giving flight in zaralek cavern and the emerald dream.
Ptr now lets you fly there. Not sure why they worded it so weirdly.
But alls good.
(Cant fly in the primalist future though)

Thats all bad enough. PF was a remedy to a problem that didnt exist until Ion and crew made it a problem.
PF shouldnt exist. At all.
if they want me on the ground the answer is easy…make GOOD content that makes me WANT to be on the ground. Forcing me there just makes me want to give my money to the golf course instead of Blizzard.

I know historically pathfinder doesn’t unlock flying for patch zones (like Argus in Legion, for example) but I always hated that. It feels incredibly petty that they make us wait so long for flight, then only let us use in content that is no longer relevant.

I would totally get no normal flying in the new zone if dragon riding wasnt a feature of it.
Plus we had normal flying in zerith mortis which was the last zone of shadowlands.
Excluding normal flying just seems so random.

Has anyone confirmed this on the latest build that came up last night?
Or we’re just panicking over what was said to be a bug on a previous build and the devs’ choice of wording for their announcement?
Wouldn’t surprise me if this is the case, but until someone confirms, what’s the point of complaining?
Didn’t we have it for Mechagon too? I suppose it’s not very consistent.
It did require an extra pathfinder thingy though. Maybe they’ll add one in 10.2.5 or something.
Still a stupid choice to limit it for no apparent reason. I’d love to hear them explain it.

ACHIEVEMENTS
- Flying on the Dragon Isles is now available after earning the new Dragon Isles Pathfinder achievement.
Nothing about it being restricted, and i for one am not happy about restricting it, mainly in the caverns, because that place stinks bad for DR!

And the new zone… then why not just enable slow flying? In all the zones too.

Check it for yourself on PTR, and report it as a bug if it works the way you think it does. Posting about it on GD does basically nothing to get it fixed/changed.
It’s possible that it’s been changed since those reports started appearing over a month ago.

This entire pathfinder is silly! Just give us regular and dragon flying after we have explored the area and stop this madness just because someone important at Blizzard a while ago didn’t like flying and wanted to get rid of it, now we have to suffer through this craziness.

Even then they stuck in a short local version of pathfinder for what seemed petty reasons. All it accomplished was to make it extra difficult for new arrivals to reach rares in time.
Pathfinder does serve a purpose, it’s not one of the usual arbitrary time gates. By forcing ground mounts only in the past you needed to experience the new zones up close and personal. Unlocking PF basically was an indication that yes, you’ve seen the content and it’s fair to let you start just flying over it.
DF of course was different - it was built from the ground up to be experienced from the air, and that allowed a much larger world. PF in this case was intended to force you to deal with the new flight system which people are pretty split on. I personally love dragonriding but I understand why some would hate it.
For me at least, the only two downsides to dragonriding vs normal flight are that it cuts us off from the hundreds of mounts we already collected and, well, hover. You can’t hover with dragonriding which is really annoying.

None really. Although, it is hilarious to see people complain that something doesn’t work in a specific way, when in fact it was changed to work that way over a month ago.
I think I differ from most on that one. I actually enjoyed DRing more before we had the glyphs and only had 3 vigor, lol.
After getting them all it just got too easy for my liking.
But yeah, the having to land to run to the RR real quick can sometimes be annoying, lol

Can we stop with all the pathfinder spam, people have been constantly posting about this that and the other thing about pathfinder and its getting annoying having to sift through all these posts on the forums. Also trying to troll by making a post where you state the solution yet still act like there’s a problem isn’t the way to go as well. PLEASE JUST STOP ALREADY, the whiny minority won, let it go!
That’s a bummer, if true. The one zone I would want to use old flying in.
