Enhance is so fun right now. Stormbringer provides interesting hooks in gameplay to min max and play around, stacking dogs for ele blast, spreading lightning conduit with prio wave, banking tempests for those windows with arc discharge, etc.
So much of this gameplay is threatened to be destroyed by these changes. The modifier stacking and lottery of dogs is a problem, but removing so much power from spenders is likely to destroy the good feeling enh has right now. i do not want lava lash and stormstrike to be more powerful at the expense of stormbringer. I want powerful chain lightnings and tempests. Plus moving damage to builders gimps aoe, where so much damage comes exclusively from spenders.
I would prefer nothing to change than almost any slated 11.1 changes. If tuning is the problem, tune. Hell the tuning is likely unnecessary given how terrible the new tier set is and how good the current one is. Furthermore if enhancement is to be salvaged with these changes it will likely be by totemic. I, and the majority of shamans I know, despise totemic. In some raid fights it’s okay to play. In dungeons or mobile raid fights it makes me not want to play the game.
These changes make it likely that the incredibly fun and fluid build that exists right now will be destroyed for the sake of some Frankenstein totemic lava lash simulator
An addendum: I’m really tired of having to relearn specs every patch. Between mage and shaman, arcane, fire, ele, and enh have morphed, radically, over the course of a single patch.
