The beauty of early wow lore is that the authors looked at the orcs, got inside their heads and thought about what value systems they would have, how it would impact their society, culture and daily lives… how they would interact with the world and other races.
Modern wow just uses them as building blocks for a story with no regard for what makes sense… its just wouldnt it be cool if X happened… lets just use to do it even if it makes no sense.
Thats why orcs look hypocritical… when the highest honour you can achieve is glorious death in battle much of the human (alliance) value system should be put aside… like say the fear of your faction being wiped out… hense the phrase “honour young warrior, no matter how dire the battle never forsake it”… and yet BFA still happened.
There is no moral equivalence between the factions. The Alliance is not perfect but it didn’t flood out of the dark portal to invade and conquer the Eastern Kingdoms after drinking the blood of demons. Maybe ask the Sin’dorei about this since they too fought back the orcs from desecrating and destroying their forests.
Yeah, except for the part were the original designers literally said they designed Orc society around Klingons from Star Trek, who are the ultimate hypocrites of murder and torture? Dunno, never saw the appeal of Orcs in WoW myself.
“Muh honour!” doesn’t mean spit when you kill anything you don’t agree with, or looked at you funny.
5 mins ago, i helped a night elf druid who had little to no gear kill a big elite for a wq he needed, we burned their tree, it was the least my zandalari dk could do for him
Never forget: The horde drove the majority of the night elf race into their treehouse and burned them alive.
Never forget: That wasn’t even their first genocide. Or their second. There are still orcs alive today who participated in creating the “Path of Glory.”
Thrall made the new Horde and it was so “un-Orcish” that the Blackrock Orcs denied membership as it was against the real ways of a Horde.
The new Horde is not a barbarian conquest faction, regardless of the fan art and personal character’s fantasies and ideas. The Horde since Classic is a more peaceful and honorable Horde compared to all others.
Let’s all agree that this is all the Titans’ fault, and they should have not argued with Saregas when he sliced the planet in half with the unborn Titan waking up as a corrupted void-hybrid monstrosity.
Well I look forward to your stunning expose on who the Orc treated their Draenei slaves like kings and queens. I mean after all it’s not liek they used them as slave labor, built a road covered with their bones and used their life force to open the Dark Portal so they could invade our world.
I am sure you will find an amazing and logical way to defend that
Arthas was from Lordaeron. He was Scourge, in other words Forsaken. Next.
Didn’t do anything worth being called evil. Her rage was at her city and everyone she loved being nuked by the Horde and well justified. Next.
Not evil in any conceivable way. Most villainous thing she’s ever done is kill Wardens to free Illidan, and that was night elf on night elf violence and therefore none of your business. Next.
