Is it possible to play wow for like a year or something where I don’t have to struggle with nonstop mouse issues?

I’ve played since week 2 of Vanilla. Since Vanilla I have had non stop mouse issues. I’ve probably had 30+ mice since WoW launched.

Sometimes everything is fine, other times I am the lucky recipient of a random mouse issue that makes this game unplayable or un-enjoyable.

Issue one: Mouse snaps back to center

Issue two: Mouse moves while right clicking (Ends up on my second screen). I have the windows right click menu pop up over wow because the mouse will scroll of the screen and when I go to move again (mind you, my character still reacts and moves with the mouse) it’s a right click outside of the game.

Issue three: Camera does w.e tf it wants. I right click and turn left, camera whigs out and does 321342390187 spins in .4 seconds. Exaggerating, but I barely move and it behaves as if my sensitivity is set to 15000 when it’s actually 2250.

Fixes? Raw mouse enabled w/e…I did this, this time, and it created issue two for me.
Fix for issue two? Enable “Keep pointer in game” but this doesn’t fix it one it’s own. You also need to adjust your polling to 125. Coolsies, seems easy enough. Ok so my sensisitivty WAS 2250, but now that I had to drop my polling from 1000 to 125 my mouse is 10x different so now I have to adjust my mouse speeds, which I use the same speeds across all applications, so now I need to adjust everything to try and accommodate wow, IF it even fully resolves the issue.

This is extremely frustrating knowing this is a known issue and has been for years and years and there doesn’t seem to have been much effort put forth to resolve it. It’s about to lose you some business because it’s getting hard to enjoy wow with all the mouse issues I’ve had. It’s extremely hard to pvp when you don’t know where your pointer is.

OS: Windows 10 (latest updates)
CPU: Core i5 9600k (Stock speeds)
RAM: 16gb
Drives: m.2 drives
GPU: 2060 Super

Any suggestions on how I can keep MY mouse settings and ALSO have wow play nice without forcing me to alter every single application?

Turning off Max Foreground FPS and Max Background FPS in advanced system settings fixes the sensitivity issue for me.

I use dual monitors and play in Windowed Fullscreen. Since AT LEAST WOTLK I have had the same mouse issues. My current one is:

Scenario 1
Right click anywhere in game > Mouse cursor jumps to a random spot on my second monitor, making me right click taskbars, URLS, desktop, icons, etc.
Scenario 2
Right click anywhere in game > mouse spins anywhere from 360-5000 degrees and I end up looking to the sky or floor. It’s like a spin bot in csgo.

I have tried literally every single ‘fix’ listed here, reddit, mmochampion, and probably 3 dozen other forums but not a single one fixes the issue or even alleviates it.

I have tried with Razer mice, Logitech mice, Steelseries mice, Zowie mice, and some other brands I forget, wired, wireless, you name it and the issue ALWAYS persists. It is the main reason I take long breaks from wow, because I just can’t handle my mouse flicking off screen, though infrequent, sometimes it is multiple times per minute depending on what I’m doing. And every time I resub, it is the very first thing I notice and have often just not played more than 30 seconds of a month’s subscription.

Not only have I tried different mice, I have been through at least 8 completely new computers, with entirely new components in every single slot since I started playing wow. AMD, NVIDIA, INTEL, doesn’t matter the issue is always there. Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, Linux, doesn’t matter, nothing fixes the issue. Someone please help it’s been 11 years and all I get are the same responses “Give us your DXDIAG” - “Oh nothing in here seems wrong, try these” (insert copy pasted crap I’ve tried 300 thousand times)

Since I know someone is going to tell me “Hurr durr play windowed or fullscreen instead”. No, that makes it worse. If I play in FULLSCREEN when I RIGHT CLICK in game (and by in game I mean my second monitor) it alt tabs me. Nice fix right? Windowed mode is no different from windowed fullscreen I just prefer no borders.

!Lock Cursor to Window also doesn’t lock Cursor to Window when this happens.

Same…my situation is similar. Many new computers, mice, keyboards, every damn piece has been changed multiple times over 15 years of wow.

What brand do you use? I usually have Logitech, but not 100% of the time.
