Sign ups are open now for this year’s latest rendition of the AAMS annual “secret santa,” the All Anonymous Merchandise Swap!
This year we’ll be doing things differently to honor the AAMS’ Winter Veil focus this year: supporting the orphans of Hallowfall!

So, what has changed?
ICly, the AAMS has given the kind-hearted souls of the Mereldar Orphanage in Hallowfall generous monetary donations and support to enable their orphans to be matched with our usual gift swap clientele - you!
Instead of purchasing a gift for an anonymous fellow adult player character this year, all participants will be given the name of a non-player Hallowfall orphan and a brief list of things they like, randomized by us. On the last day of Winter Veil, the AAMS will collect gifts the orphans themselves picked out and send them in the mail to you! Who knows what mysteries those traumatized kids will pick out for you? Only one way to find out!
With that said, our rules and terms for the gift swap this year will be a lot more laid back, since we don’t need players to send each other gifts to ensure fairness. All ‘orphan gifts’ are being curated by the chaotic and festive masterminds in the AAMS guild.
How do I sign up?
You can leave a reply on this forum post with the name of the character you want to sign up, sign up by asking at an RP event with an IC AAMS character, or contact your favorite AAMSer OOC in-game or in the Four Realms Discord. Try typing /who AAMS in-game.
- Sign ups will be closed on January 1st, 2025.
Due to the logistics of this year’s event, please limit your sign up to only a single character. No alts, please!
How and when do I send my gift to my assigned orphan?
If you would still like to pick out actual in-game items, you are welcome to, so long as the items can fit in a trade window (no more than 6 items/stacks). However, we will also welcome in-game mail descriptions or RP descriptions of items.
If you will be mailing your gift/written gift info, please send it to the AAMS CFO and this year’s event lead, Adassos-Cenarion Circle, or his trusty event co-lead and longtime AAMSer, Engridvinter-Cenarion Circle.
Otherwise give it to any AAMSer out in the wild at an RP event such as our Lounge night, by messaging one of us through /who AAMS, or by asking for us in /join hordeooc on any of the four realms.
So long as we receive something from your character who signed up by January 4, 2025, your character will receive their orphan gift in the mail the following day at the conclusion of the Feast of Winter Veil.
Is this open to RPers outside of the Four Realms or people without subs?
This year we have opened eligibility to actively subbed players on any realm outside of Cenarion Circle, Sisters of Elune, Blackwater Raiders, and Shadow Council to honor their help and participation with our Toys for Bots drive, and because these orphans are needy. We cannot accommodate unsubbed players as the orphan gifts will be in game items.
So if my gift isn’t going to an actual orphan or a player, what does the AAMS do with it?
Keep in mind that no actual in game item is required to be given this year. If you feel weird about giving the AAMS free stuff that’s not actually going to an orphan, you don’t have to! However, we’re a casual, friendly bunch and would put any actual gifts to use in some way by distributing them amongst our guild. If given something particularly generous by a character, we may compensate you OOC in your orphan gift mail as a thank you.
Who are the AAMS?
We are a neutral corporation themed guild, our members are the employees of the Anytime, Anywhere Messenger Service, a company that offers courier services, shipping, translation services, financial services, and more! Historically, these services have served both RP and OOC purposes prior to the many in-game solutions to previous cross faction problems. But we haven’t let that stop us!
Thanks to the longest lived period of peace and armistice between the factions the AAMS has experienced, the company has since expanded its offerings back into that of an ever-expanding neutral Mercantile service with all the perks of being run by culturally conscious and disconcertingly efficient polyglots seeking to carve out the ultimate Azerothian monopoly.
