Neutral Auction House Question

it accesses sales from both factions right?

or does it only access sales from other neutral AHs?
All AHs are now connected since they combined the horde and alliance "regular" AHs. So the old neutral ones just have the same auctions as the main city ones now. (So, for example, the Orgrimmar, Ironforge, and Booty Bay AHs are all the same AH now. You don't need a special one to access the other faction's auctions.)

just to clarify: yes this is how it used to be. It only listed anything from both factions on NEUTRAL AH - so you couldn't purchase something in booty bay as either faction if the item was listed on AH in stormwind or orgrimmar (originally every city had a separate AH iirc so alli AH was IF and horde was org with fallback to UC).
Neutral AH had higher fees and usually you'd only find stuff like quest items for the respective zones plus the occasional mount (many people didn't realize mounts had race restrictions) and other faction specific items there.

Actually often they had listed pets that were sold only in one faction - before they were account wide. Also race restrictions on mounts were lifted early while neutral AH still existed. Now you sometimes can see some silly white items sold for thousands of gold - I wonder if that's "double agents" transfer gold between factions this way?
if you made a ah listing on an ally character could you buy it on your hoard one?

No, you cannot buy your own auctions. To explain, if you post trade on toon A, none of your other toons on your account can see that auction no matter the faction.

You will need to have a friend help you out or use a completely different
battle.net account.
i figured but i was hoping after all this time they would have added some way to move stuff cross faction on your characters. (cat player)

thanks

Unless something has changed recently, you can use two separate wow licenses on the same B.net account to transfer stuff. (So, you can put it up on one wow account and buy it out on another.) They don't have to be on different B.net accounts.
Ah, I don't have a 2nd live account on my b.net so wouldn't have know. The only time I've done something like that, a friend was helping me out.

Good to know that it can be that simple to get around tho.

To be fair, the other method would be to faction change a mule character with the stuff you wanted to move at $35. It's of course perfectly reasonable to also say that you don't need to transfer the stuff that badly. I've got 2 licenses and while I do occasionally transfer between horde and alliance characters — mostly the faction specific recipes — it's not the main reason I maintain two accounts. (And probably wouldn't be enough on it's own to do so.)

I just wanted to clarify the b.net/wow license issue since there are people who do have multiple active wow licenses on one B.net.
