So is there something preventing me from buying an auction on my alliance toon and buying on my horde toon to send some gold over? Changed factions to play with friends and would like to have all the gold I earned on my new main.
Friend doesnt want to make one either cause he is worried itll be flagged as gold selling or something
you cant buy auctions from the same account and 3x auction cut in the nuetral AH
just do small amounts via a friend over time and youll avoid auto detect
You won’t get flagged unless you bought gold, I transferred over 2500 in one buy, from my horde to ally. No ban. I think these posts are people testing the waters before they buy gold.
Blizz can see if someone who’s been on your friend list for 10 years buys your gold, then if they send it all to another character on your account, like cmon use brain.
Or give me a 20% cut and ill xfer it for you.
It’s perfectly legal to do it. I’ve done it in SoD, tbc / wotlk OG, and the classic versions of the game. Things of importance to note: You need two accounts, or a friend to buy the items. There’s a large deposit fee, and a 15% AH cute for direct gold made, so you’re only getting 85% of what you’re directly transferring. The method I used was buying items, and selling them for 1 copper each and buying those up and posting them on the opposite faction.
The problem with this method, is there’s a bunch of automated snipers that will buy the stuff instantly before you can even react if you aren’t careful. There are 3 different AH locations, winterspring has 1 AH vendor, tanaris has one, and booty bay has 3. If you do that latter method, you need to make sure to check all the vendors, on all the layers for any level 1’s or what not camped out in front of it, or else be almost guaranteed to lose said items.
Beware of Oldmanreach level 1 on wild growth horde side in winterspring, he’s good at sniping stuff, got me once!
