Neurodivergency & No-Pressure Realms/Guilds

Which realms would you recommend as the friendliest for someone who’s neurodivergent, particularly if they don’t respond amazingly well to pressure and prefer not to chat too much?

Moonguard has plenty of guilds that are friendly and casual. At least Alliance does, last time I was on Horde on MG, it was a ghost town.

Not sure if this is a genuine thread or bait, but to answer the question: any full pop realm. Stormrage, Area52, Dalaran, it doesn’t really matter. There will be more guilds to choose from on higher pop realms.

You can also decide to turn off chat in-game if you prefer. You can also select specific chat formats to enable or disable. I have whispers turned off for example.

Before this, if you want the guild perks, you can make your own! Buy guild signatures in capital cities for like 1000 gold, I think you need maybe four, then turn in the charter and gkick everyone.

I have felt very comfortable and welcome on MG, personally.

So, the whole “Moonguard Goldshire” weird reputation - is that confined ONLY to Goldshire?

Yes. It is not welcome elsewhere.

Though for the sake of being real, obviously sometimes you get wanderers. But it’s not accepted in general outside of GS.

MG GS is filled with tourists, usually people who don’t main on MG.

Avoid it if you want nothing to do with it and you’re set!

Kinda, people will still ask mid to late RP sometimes in character, I just tell them as a flat no or put them on ignore, let it be known I’m uninterested. It won’t happen in walk ups, you won’t be pinged randomly out of the blue. In a way you have to be looking for it to get it, or you yourself not having a boundary for it.

I also heard good things about proudmoore for a friendly community that isn’t RP.

I’m fine with chatting, but being expected to respond in text to multiple players chewing me out for the same mistake while actively tanking is not productive. No, I can’t type while I’m tanking.

That’s too specific to ever be narrowed down to any one realm. There are guilds and communities out there that cater specifically to this if you look around though.

If you take the tram, don’t make the mistake I did and wander the tunnels.

Agreed with Anadisong, Moon Guard is pretty chill. In a few diff guilds on alts alliance side n no pressure. People talk but haven’t been dragged into convos lol

Bro it’s a video game

As an autistic man, I find it hard not to offend ppl because I don’t understand my own tone of voice.

See, I get misunderstood a lot too. My tone sounds A-OK to me but others get offended sometimes. It’s bizarre.

I can confirm that Dalaran is a very chill realm overall. Trade chat is quieter than say A52 or Stormrage, but people tend to take the casual vibe to heart. I can only speak for my guild and we do rib each other quite a bit for the bants, and while we do it in good fun among ourselves I’m sure there’s much quieter and more tranquil guilds out there.
