How long of a grind does it take to get exalted? Thought I could work on this since it’s currently TBC Timewalking and I could get a good 5 mounts out of it.

Normally it takes at least a month.
If you want to no life it and kill in the mine with some occasional egg hunting you can get it done in under a week . Even less so with the rep bonus. It’s a good time to go grind some eggies.

Get handnotes with the netherwing ext. It shows location of all the eggs, just farm them daily, it is faster. You can fly in a pattern and collect them and be done in a week
Go hunt netherwing eggs, they are worth (iirc) 250 a pop and have well known spawn points.
Came here to say this. If you find a shard where you’re the only person out there so you have exclusivity on the eggs and you can farm a ton of rep really quickly.
Make sure to use the darkmoon rep buff, and if you have a human to do the farm with that’s a nice boost too (remember, your alts don’t need Netherwing rep to use the mount after you’ve earned it).
You get 2 eggs from Karazan. The dragon netherspite maybe?

Took me a month, well worth it.
You realize it’s one mount per toon? Each toon needs to be exalted , to get A mount, there are 6 mounts. That means 6 exalted grinds for all 6 mounts on 6 different toons. Yes, I’ve done it and it is time consuming and no one can assist you on the quests, they are phased out. Good luck!
ugh no. you get 1 mount from the quest and buy the rest of them from the vender.

I’m afraid you did it the hard way. Once exalted, you can buy the other drakes from a vendor in Shattrath for like 200 gold each.

Do you think they’ve changed it over the years? Cuz I know I couldn’t buy more than the one I got originally. It would be nice that they have simplified it.
You have always been able to buy them all on one character. I did it in BC.

It was like that in TBC, that’s when I got them all, and I only did the rep grind on this character.
I don’t think it was pointed out directly by the game, though, so it’s understandable that you went the way you did.
My buddy did it in Burning Crusade on one character and had every color variation. Been that way since the beginning, you definitely did a ton of extra work for no reason lmao

Yeah, I would say a couple of days if you elect to no-life it, do all the quests, do the bonus quests like the races, and farm eggs (which in reality should be easy considering no one’s out there anymore).
I did it ages ago but I remember it took weeks.
