So…where are these things? I have not seen a single one in the wild yet. One off a mob. Is the spawn timer bugged?
Can we speed the timer up since we have more people playing than we did back in BC on these servers?
They are very rare spawn.
Back in just before Cata I decided to do these dailies for the mount and I could find between 2-5 per hour. There’s just too many ppl using add-ons that will swoop down in packs of 5 players each time one is up.
Since they started, I’ve never found an egg, and I assume I’ll never find one either. There’s just too much competition (And I’m on Westfall, it’s way worse on other servers). Thankfully beside the first trade to NPC, you dont * need * eggs to wrap this up.
But yeah, egg spawn is way too low considering even mid-sized servers. If you want to farm the eggs, you’re prolly going to give it a month or three.

I can’t remember but when did Netherspite in kara start dropping eggs? End of TBC or later?
i get mine from mining, mostly.
If anything needs to be adjusted, it’s relics and peons that are actually needed for quests, not optional eggs.

very rare? my mates and i back in tbc would farm them for hours and each of us would get several from flying around or going through the mines 1-3 hours and 3 of us would have about 14 between us all.
I collected 4 so far but to say I looked for them would be straight up lying. The reality is that they spawned on top of me and I assume that is happening to everyone therefore they are gone in under 5 seconds everytime 
there are very few eggs in a very large map. You don’t really need them to finish the grind. The dailies once you reach revered give you lots of rep.

Wouldnt say alot as its only 3000 a day but still done in just 7 days hitting revered.

They actually added that in MoP.
Compared to most rep grinds Netherwing is actually pretty reasonable with the growing amount of dailies you get everytime to reach a new reputation level + the 1 time quests you can do that give a pretty nice chunk of reputation.
The eggs are more of a little treat that can help push you over a certain threshold but they are definitely not required to finish the rep grind in a timely manner.

Yes it takes only like 14 days from zero to exalted.
Similar to Black Lotus situation but, here, the Eggs are optionnal for an optionnal feature (a flying mount skin)
I don’t think they need to speed up anything. It doesn’t prevent you to get the rep.
Don’t get me wrong if they do, it’s fine, if they don’t, it’s fine too.

you can get them from mining the nethercite ore nodes… but you CAN’T get them from skinning. I just go up and down the mine skinning for hours on my server, unlimited leather, got zero eggs from that

best way to get them is to kill the blood in the mine. They got 1.4% droprate and the mud objects have 1% droprate having it in them too. I farm an egg daily and one drops between 1-30min off them now.
Back in the day, yeah. Try it now with hundreds of others flying with you.

Farm Eggs on mobs. Trying to compete for the egg spawns is a waste.
