Netflix is gonna be the next Blockbuster

Netflix has been cancelling way too many shows before they give them a chance for a second season, and many of their show they give multiple seasons look (imo) mediocre and they’re driving away subscribers because of it.

I also have seen that many of Netflix’s original shows are rather subpar in setting, writing, acting, and cinematography. They try to replicate Stranger Things but without new ideas to make it different and ST was a fluke for a successful TV show. I think the formula to copy Stranger Things (childhood nostalgia) is not working anymore and that many of the newer shows (i.e. Life in Our Planet) are just painful to watch.

Netflix is trying to become the next Disney and Amazon but like them, they’re churning nonstop garbage that its gonna bite them in the posterior and will go out of business.

That’s my opinion of course.

Prediction? NETFLIX will learn not to spit into the sky.

Ugh, I just got Netflixed.

I was really bored and a show called "Black Summer’ popped up in my feed. I checked it out even though it’s a overdone zombie plot but I was surprised that it wasn’t bad. Get to the end then Googled when season 3 was going to air. Probably not going to happen. Another show from Netflix left on a cliffhanger. I can’t trust them anymore.

Moral of the story: don’t watch shows on Netflix unless they are done.

I miss Blockbuster. Netflix wise though, was neat to have at first, but I stopped watching stuff from streaming and cable services about 1-2 years ago. So one can mention a show, movie or something and I likely would respond with “What that be?”.

I mean, anyone remember Redbox? That pay for one day thing that was something many people liked for a time but then like Blockbuster, is slowly being forgotten?

Scott Pilgrim animation. In the “new” story he loses in the first fight and Ramona now does battle against her Exes in his place. It actually makes no sense whatsoever, since he already lost there’s no point in fighting the other Exes, but she’s going to anyway because…

The internet’s ability to disseminate media is incredible, but the loss of book, video and music stores is something very profoundly sad.

I’ve been subbed to Netflix for a while now and have to disagree. There’s always something I want to watch on Netflix but don’t have the time for. I’m not saying it’s perfect, but for the enormous selection it’s worth it if you’re like me and can very reliably find shows to add to your list.

I don’t think the problem is the quantity of shows, the problem is them starting a show then dropping it like a bad habit.

I’m really sick of getting interested in something then come to find out Netflix isn’t going to renew it. But the good news is I’m sure there will be 10 more seasons of Stranger Things even if MBB decides to quit.

Guess it depends on the types of shows you like. I think i’m unlike 80% of Americans in terms of what i want to watch, so it works for me. If anything, I do dislike Netflix’s propensity to feature shows pushing biased political narratives. :stuck_out_tongue:
