NetEase (blizzard services for China) destroys their Orc Statue and live streamed it

There are plenty of Chinese games in China that are original IPs. You just don’t see them because China is a market where most devs don’t export their games.

Source: I lived in China for 10 years.

Blizzard never should have been in the business of appeasing autocratic dictatorships.

Not to business in China. When the CCP ask for you for your customer’s info you give it them no questions ask.

The alignment is there. You disagreeing with the action does not make it true, hence the whole subpoint of the capitol riots.

Toppling statues of founding fathers is strictly liberal and leftist ideology manifested. There is no disputing this. Conservatives don’t topple statues of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.

You are mistaken. End of discussion.

Meaning, relevant to the beliefs of the time.

Abraham Lincoln was most likely racist, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t deserve an enormous amount of praise and recognition for his efforts to end slavery.

WITHIN REASON meaning his mental attitude aligned with the time, which is to be expected, but his actions led to an overall good and positive change for our country.

What alignment? That racially-fueled violence is bad and that the institutions this country was built on are oppressive by nature?

Of course not. They just desecrate government institutions and attempt coups when things don’t go their way.

Pinning riots and damage accumulated from riots as a “strictly liberal and leftist ideology” is ridiculous.

I guess you missed the whole Donald Trump riots where liberals destroyed millions of dollars worth of property and even ended several lives just because their candidate didn’t get elected. You framing this as a one party only issue is Intellectually dishonest.

Now you’re also twisting my words. I JUST SAID in plain English that tearing down statues is a leftist ideology and now you’re trying to say that I’m saying rioting is a leftist only thing.

It’s not. Learn to read.

The what?

Yes, I definitely missed that completely fictional event.

Had to laugh when those activists (they love to glue themselves to things) tried that at a concert. Glued themselves to the conductor’s rail, not realizing it was easily moveable.

They got to wait out the concert in a back room by themselves.

It’s alright. Not everyone keeps up to date on current events or history. Luckily there are always articles you can read anytime for absolutely free! No subscription required!

I couldn’t care less if Blizzard was making them drink used motor oil as part of their contract. I side with the side that is not China.

LoL.

These chineses destroying the Orc Statue is delightful as Shakira’s toxic sound towards Piqué.

The one that is left from the relationship always go on this vengeance rampage.

Delightful.

I was under the impression his character was Pandaren and has that bounce racial to survive.

I’d link a pic of his toon if I could, but just imagine a yellow Pandaren with a red shirt…

I’ll take things that never happened for 500.

How did those statues get taken down? Do you think some liberals were walking in a park one day and just decided to topple them over because “that’s just what liberals do,” or do you think it had something to do with the riots that were occurring during that time?

Moreover, you’re the one that brought riots that into the discussion before I did. You’re the one that tried to conflate the Rodney King riots in 1991 to people toppling statues in 2020. Why are you allowed to do that but I’m not allowed to point out the riots from right-leaning groups?

It’s funny because the article itself states that most protests across the nation were peaceful and that nobody died.

No. I brought up that point to counter your point that that race riots were dormant up to that point. They weren’t. It’s a false narrative.

You still have yet to defend your claim that statue removal is a not a partisan issue. It absolutely 100% is and pretending that it’s not is just ignorant.

i was making a books burning joke but whatever. the open endedness is what makes it beautiful so go nuts

I will never understand people who think a bit of property damage is more severe than undermining people’s rights or attempting to illegally seize control of the government.

It just makes me think that person is some kind of wagie who survives pay-check to pay-check and has let the world dehumanize them. I feel sad for people who didn’t get an education and are barely staying above water (if that) and let their bitterness dictate their internal beliefs. Lol.

They’re someone of the ‘see both sides’ sort of shlick.

We’ve seen both sides.
One is def worse than the other by a wide margin.

That “Blizzard Green Tea” dig was pretty great, NGL.

What could Blizzard have possibly done to piss off uncle Xi so much?
