I purchased the Nerubian Pheromone Secreter this morning and noticed that the Equip spell doesn’t work.
It reads "You’re spells and abilities have a chance to secrete 0 different pheromones around you. Touching these pheromones will increase your primary stat by 2,051 for 20 sec.
According to WoWhead it should be 3 different pheromones. In it’s current state, it won’t proc, thus not giving any primary stat.

Same issue here, mine has haste and mastery fragrances socketed. (Invigorating Fragrance & Inscrutable Fragrance). Upgrade level 1/8 ilvl 571.
Same issue. Secondary stat bonuses register but the equip effect itself says 0 and in fact does not proc.
So, I became an accomplice with the widow and now mine says chance to secrete 1 pheromone. It might be tied to your rep? I have yet to see it proc though. Perhaps it gets stronger the more you level up the rep?

Hello, yes, that’s what I meant. I had been watching like a hawk too. The moment I dinged over into Accomplice I checked the trinket. It now says “Your spells and abilities have a chance to secrete 1 different pheromones around you.”

Okay, so from this we could assume one of two things. (1) Increasing renown level with each of the three sub reputations grants 1 additional charge, or (2) Continuing to increase the renown with The Weaver grants additional charges with each renown level, or at certain levels.
Since all three eventually give the player their pheromones for story reasons, I’d lean towards the former. Quite the…unique implementation for this.
Yeah, interesting. I think it just depends how it feels to gain renown for all 3 of these sub reps. I’m currently doing all stories in the zone and can report back on how much renown I’m at afterwards.
I managed to hit 4 with the Weaver but the others are stuck at 3, presumably until weeklies unlock in a few hours. At least one other may hit today, but I’m also curious if the power goes up at all if Weaver goes up to 5 for example. There’s a veteran track version of the item from renown as well so worth keeping an eye on for a bit.
This seems like something that should be clear when purchasing the trinket, I have the same issue with mine showing 0. Once maintenance is done in 30 minutes I am gonna try and confirm for myself if this is renown related.
The Trinket is still not functioning, I have accomplice in all 3 reps and its showing that I should Secrete 3 pheromones, After hitting a dummy for 10mins the trinket has never proc’ed.
Just went to the target dummy to try and test this, because I’ve had both the adventure and veteran versions and never noticed any pheromones or any buffs (just in case I stepped through without noticing), and nothing. I even went on youtube so I can see how the pheromones are supposed to look like, and it absolutely doesn’t proc anything for me.
Definitely would like to keep an eye on this, cause I think its really cool. Also, I do have the phrase where it states I have a chance to produce 1 type of pheromone.
Didn’t realize I was replying on that toon. I have the veteran secretor on this Priest, not that it would make too much of a difference. Still doesn’t work.
Testing on target dummies isn’t guaranteed to proc certain effects. Try re-testing on a few mobs in the world and be looking out for it. The effect works fine for me, but is sometimes very streaky (both for and against).
Gotcha, I tried the dummies because the person in the YT vid was testing there and was able to show exactly what a proc looked like.
Yeah the visual is pretty light IMO, they could do with raising the opacity to 90% or making them brighter.
