But that would have also given a new race to the Alliance and they sure aren’t going to do that!
Well, but they would have to have been a main race, not an allied race, because they aren’t “related to” an existing main race (that is what the allied races are).
They could have been made into a new neutral main race, like Pandaren.

We didn’t need another race, period. I started in Wrath when there was 10. Then there was 12 which was good. Then there were which 13 was enough. The suddenly there were 23 was way too many. And now there’s 25 and it’s just ridiculous.
I’d be fine if we never got another race, ever. I’d much prefer they actually focus on all the races they’ve been neglecting instead.
Poor Trolls get so little attention that Rokhan becomes chieftain just by being the only named Troll people halfway recognized.

That’s not what Allied Races are.
If you mean “related in lore”, Vulpera are unrelated to any other playable race.
And if you mean “reuse of in-game assets”, Kul Tirans are a completely original model.
So either way that’s just not what Allied Races are.
Ultimately, “Allied Races” are just fancy fantasy speech for “Unlockable Races”.

Agreed, what a bunch of 8 legged lushes. Have you seen the amount of mead they have stashed it’s everywhere. Ever notice when one of these spiders excuse themselves from a conversation they come back all wobbly?
Could you imagine the mogging nightmare?

Putting an extra pair of arms and eyes on an elf is still an elf.
The next allied race looks really good at least. I do like Earthen though.
Dracthyr exist so yes, yes I can.
To be fair, a lot of those races are just variants, like Mag’har, Lightforged, Zandalari, Dark Iron, etc.
But that could simply have been done through character customisation like they did for the Man’Ari Eredars with Draeneis.
I would make a new race toon for an ethereal or an ogre.
Just copies of existing ones it is not a new race.
For example the space goats were a real new race.
I also think the haronir are up as the next race to join the H/A, but I wouldn’t say no to spider-people.
I actually believe this could be possible, especially since Dracthyr aren’t a very conventional race in WoW. So a spider person with an unusual model isn’t too out there anymore.
But I think it’ll happen -after- the events of TWW entirely, if at all, once their story beats are wrapped up. Redemption seems plausible, but we’ll see if they go that route at all.
Dwarves are kinda lame, but spider people would have been totally weird. Especially with arachnophobia mode on.
I’m mostly just side eyeing Horde dwarves now. Its weird.
There are a couple of models in the new zone that seem it would be doable as a playable race.
I just want my arachnasin…And i want the footsetp sound effects from spiders as well lol.
