Lol when I first heard the term story mode raids I thought we were going to get full fledged follower raids that you could go at your own pace in. Instead they just plop you right at ansurek herself with little to no explanation. It’s a disgrace to the raid itself, it’s like skipping to the last 5 minutes of a movie and saying you saw the whole thing. Nerubar palace is more than just the last boss lol.
Yea I felt the same thing. It’s like reading the last 2 pages of a book.
should’ve read what it was about and not assume
and story mode gives you the important part of the raid. they said if future bosses of a raid have any sort of story they would include them as well
nerubar palace is basically just ending cinematic. thats it
and its a garbage cinematic.
they literally had the questline leading up to the queen encounter. or did you just rush it LOL
yeah you dont care about the story you just want to whine
spit on that thang . Hawk Tuah
I mean… I have to argee with this one I was hopeing it be nice easy way to show how raid work and sure sure they may give you vet gear at the end that is fine is random… but story mode raid?
It like I felt like I Skip right to end… like What Can’t be I Double check and Yeah I Just get to final boss…
LIke No I want “Story raid” Stoooory not boss skip to final boss for not even worth of loot I Suffer LFR to lest get some raid story then do that Story mode for lack luster of surpise.
well its an option. you dont have to do story mode
agian I saying like this: "I Kinda want to see the story of the riad unfold You know they work hard seeing it happen in WOD they Cutscenes you don’t get to see it any more most rusher just skip it
As raid, Pugger skip most the Cutscenes why we rarely have some in game for story bits
also, I like to see and hear boss talk see and study their action to get a “In depth look” you know partince run
Lest know what boss throw at me… But nah cut all that hard work and rush to last boss kid now a day want to get to end rush rush.
nerubar has no story at all except for the queen ansurek.
and there was a questline you did in order to even do story mode…
Once more you fail the see my point
We going into the villian lair to see how this raid work what go on, Heck bet you don’t notice that or care some raid mob use to talk to one another…
I miss that bit of detail now a a days
once more Rush job is rush job no flare just “Cut to the end”
IT RAW
You walk into the raid, the queen taunts you, then you fight random bosses till the queen who gets a cutscene of Xal’atath feet. So you really do get the only part of the raid that matters.
Some raids are like that, some less so, but don’t think anyone would consider the first boss talking about being hungry will be crucial to story. You have the option to go see the flavor and fluff.
I mean I want to have choice start form beging and see it unfold then skip to end. as well look around raid… Since well LFR is LFR
Exactly this.
Are they saying there’s no story-related dialog at all throughout the rest of the raid?
I wasn’t expecting to be able to fight all the bosses (although I’d love a full-fledged follower raid system), but I was expecting/hoping for more than just a skip to the last boss to watch the cinematic.
Basically, it’s nice, but could have been so much more. I really hope they expand on it in the future, but definitely not holding my breath. Edit: I mean to say it’s likely not high on the list at all, unfortunately.
What story do you think the raid is telling you as you work and progress through it?
oh is that what the solo mode is? lol
what even is this modern game
I liked it because it completed the build up storyline that I had done and followed up until that point, the cinematic was kind of meh but besides that I have no complaints.
There is no story inside the raid save for the cutscene at the end. You only missed bosses saying catchprases on repeat during the encounters, such as, “Flesh is made for cutting!” Most raids are like this – just fights with snippets of lore furnished by the Adventure Guide.
Give LFR a try. It’s so easy you can do it with chat turned off and with no preparation whatsoever.
My personal problem with LFR is I have no control over the pace. If I want to look around, I’m wasting others’ time.
And, okay, if this raid has zero story content outside the final cinematic, that’s a deviation from the norm. I’m not sure what you mean by “most raids”, but I feel like at least half have had some sort of interactions you get to experience at some point in them. Whether that’s an RP at the start of the fight, or some lines at certain points in an encounter. If this raid really wasn’t given those touches then that’s unfortunate.
story mode raids is a joke. the entire raid is a story, not just the last boss
I agree with you. But the reward is so nice that that’s why I don’t think it sucks. For the amount of time and work you do you can get potentially a crafted 619 that’s crazy.
