So help me figure this out,
Currentlyt Nerub’ar Finery should be dropping at a rate of 8 per week per account, but as it stands, this week, where we should have 8 total finery, we have people sitting at various amounts, 9, 11, 14, 17, 22, whatever it is.
What is going on, what are the drop rules on main / alts, why are we getting more than initial cap supposed to be and how are everyone on different amounts?
It’s a seasonal cap. The seasonal cap right now is 24.

However, we already got 16 and spent 16.
SO this week, we should have a max of 8. **edit: and most people have varying numbers, not an equal amount, despite killing all bosses on multiple difficulties on multiple alts and mains.
I capped out at 8 this week. Those you mentioned didn’t turn the quest in.
We absolutely turned in our quests, even got the shiny buff in raid.
At 8 too at the moment.

I turned in my quest and I have 9 this week without all bosses even killed.
If you look at the currency tab on your chars, it displays a different current count and max count per-character. I ended up getting 5 this week on one char and 8 on another, and I did turn in the quest last week. Also ran a bunch of LFR on different chars to see if it would give me more, but they stopped dropping pretty early on in boss kills.
If you forget to loot the boss
I’m at 9 this week. I turned in the quest last week and have the raid buff. I don’t play any alts.
What is this, and should I be using it? I am currently just running LFR but will probably do normal at least once before the season is over.
You can hand in 16 of them to get a 2.25% damage and healing buff while inside the raid and it stacks to 18% iirc.
So in total it will take 16 weeks or 8 hand ins. There is a catch up mechanic for those who started collecting them late.
I think Blizzard timed it so that the final hand in, provided you are getting your 8 each week will be with the final week of Season 1 or close to.
Does that buff stay or expire? Like should I be holding onto these, I have some but haven’t used them yet.
It will stay.
Usually Blizzard does not remove these sort of soft nerfs.
And even if they were to remove it, you might as well use them now and have the buff while Palace is the current raid. Because the currency will be dead in that scenario.
I was only able to get to 15/16 this week and no way to get that 1 because I missed last week. I tried to do a boss in LFR to get the extra and I didn’t get it. Sigh…
Seems the math for the catch-up isn’t mathing…
They are also transferable. If you have a bunch on another character then it may stop dropping for the entire account.
Nope, when I go over the icon to transfer is says you dont have any characters that have this currency. So I am stuck at 15/16 this week… No idea how to get that 1.
I turned in 16 and received gold but don’t remember seeing a buff appear.
Update, I turned in this week as well and after having done the raid on alt and main and all, o now have 21 finery left shrug
