Nerub-ar Raid Lag Fixes Underway - October 25

We recently began detecting widespread lag and disconnects during encounters in Nerub-ar.

We’re currently working on a fix for this.

The entire game has been super laggy since the Anniversary patch…

I see this in dungeons too since the patch. Raid is worse, but this is a general game issue, not a raid issue.

what about the mass lag from when everyone in your guild ‘has come online’?

Huge lag issue across the board, not just in raid. Also, any word on the SW portal bug that is shooting everyone into the ocean for the past 2 days?

Hello again.

In 11.0.5, our engineers implemented a rebuild of some core parts of WoW’s infrastructure. This work is being done now in preparation for the game’s future needs as it grows. Unfortunately, we experienced side effects that have been seen in certain high-performance parts of the game, such as several encounters in Nerub-ar Palace.

We’ve been working on these issues with urgency, and earlier today, we have deployed hotfixes that we believe will reduce “desyncs” with certain boss abilities, and address sudden disconnects during combat.

We have more fixes on the way, including improvements to client responsiveness during raid encounters.

We’re continuing to stay focused on any game performance issues that remain, or arise following today’s fixes. Again, this is a top priority for us.

This most certainly hasn’t happened yet; we just had 5 people get hit by a desynced Anub’arash circle that spiked people literally three seconds after the circle animation ended.

Just killed Mythic Silken Court. Easily the worst intermission 2 desyncs we’ve experienced for all of prog. It was better before you didn’t touch anything.

… maybe a rollback until you have a complete fix would be the solution. From an outside point of view, you seem to have poor change and quality control when it comes to infrastructure work.

Still locking up several seconds at a time on Broodtwister.

This is literal bull crap. The lags and disconnects have existed the whole expansion and are NOT only in the raid. They happen open world, in M+, all over the place. Game servers are stuck like they are waiting on DBs to respond with acks. get your crap together please, many are so sick of it ready to unsubscribe.

Like do you guys even read your bug report forums? The only thing that changed with the latest patch is that it disconnects more frequently. The Lagging out on the game servers has been going on for the entire expansion.

It’s amazing how disrespectful you are to your customers. How is it possible that this is implemented in the retail version? You are one of the companies with the most help from your customers when it comes to testing through the PTR. It’s amazing how much you save through this system and when you should most, you don’t take advantage of it. We all want the game to continue in the future and if a radical change in the infrastructure is necessary, go ahead, but do it the right way. At least this post acknowledges it but it should include an apology, it’s absurd that you write this news without one.
