Like title says my game is constantly freezing and/or lagging for up to 30 seconds to 1 minute at a time. Tried reinstalling the game, updating drivers, disabling addons, etc. It runs fine for about 5 minutes after restarting computer then starts up again. Not getting error codes just straight up lag where everyone stops moving but me then catches up.
Same … on two different computers and accounts.
Still going on a day later.
Wake up game support.
Same here as well, started about 10 days ago and it is getting worse.
Mine is still doing this, support ticket was just closed with no
actual investigation. They suggested I report a bug.
I have also reported this and they just close the tickets. I cannot play at all on any PC or network.
Also having issues, constant disconnects, I’ve had it happen mid raid even It’s just been getting worse here as well. Two different accounts, two different computers and I know friends are also having issues with it.
Multiple computers same thing:(
Has anyone found the solution for this? I’m facing the same too.
A few folks helping others insist it’s our network; I’m just trying to figure out if it is. My network doesn’t seem to be going down or crashing, itself. How do we check that?
I’m getting major ms/ping spikes in the game for ‘world’ and ‘home’. The game crashes about every 5 or 6 minutes. LFD, Delves. It’s bad!
I followed the instructions listed on the Troubleshooting page.
I use no add-ons, don’t have anything else running in background like a webpage or anything!, the only other thing open is the battle.net launcher and I tend to close that too, to see if it’d help. I’ve run a Repair in the bnet launcher. I’ve updated all drivers using Device Manager, occasionally going to the webpages for a manual install.

edit: grammar/typing
All my troubleshooting keeps pointing to the Battlenet App itself.
I’ve also been wondering if it’s the bnet app. Hmm. Can we launch the wow exec file w/out the bnet app? or is it against ToS? (I’m just trying to get the game to not lag and dc.) lol
I have closed the app once the game loads be it WoW or Diablo and that helps decrease the issue a bit, it is still happening. Whatever is happening with me is only on BNET games every so often there is a massive dump of information sent from blizzard almost like they are ddosing me after a few seconds it drops and everything blurs by as it catches up. Very much like Diablo2 rubber banding once upon a time.
Same here. I tried everything, deleting caches, wtf folders, in-game settings. My internet is the best you can pay for and is having no issues when I test it.
I have been experiencing this issue since the pre-patch. Most of the time the game is running fine, and suddenly people and NPCs will be running in place, but my character can move but not cast, and then 5-10 seconds later, the game catches up. This happens most often during delves or dungeons or raids, preventing me from performing mechanics or dodging things, which is extremely frustrating.
When the issue occurs, Discord is still working fine, no addons show high memory usage, the in-game home and world latency show very low (15ms-20ms). My issue is unrelated to opening the map.
I’ve tried the game on two separate computers with different graphics settings (one low and one ultra), and both have experienced the exact same issue. I have tried unchecking the new graphics checkboxes that were introduced in the pre-patch, but the issue still occurs. I have tried windowed and full screen, but both have the issue.
It’s not an issue of decreased FPS or the game slowing down, as that would look more like a slide-show which is not happening. The game basically pauses receiving server input for 5-10 seconds and then all of a sudden processes it all in one go.
As others have suggested, I tried closing out the bnet app to see if that helped. It didn’t help–the freezes are still there.
This issue is extremely frustrating as it often leads to my death because I can’t dodge mechanics when it happens, and is really affecting my ability to raid-lead for my guild.
lots of us having the same problem, i think instead of adding this much crap, they to spand the servers to acomodate the amount of players. Dalaran server is the worst. as soon you hit a city you can not move. is sad. and we pay a large amopunt of money to play this game. fix the servers before adding anything else.
Ah heck, I’m on Dalaran and I’ve been having weird lag for a while now, too.
Having this issue a lot and also on Dalaran. I wonder if it’s the issue….
Still experiencing this 5-10 second game freezing multiple times per raid, dungeon, and delve, and also in the open world every day since TWW pre-patch. I’ve talked with several people that are also experiencing this. There are a lot of posts with people seeking help for this issue.
Blizzard, can you please look at what you changed in TWW pre-patch that might be causing this? You are making it very hard to enjoy playing the game, and my friends are starting to see including me as a liability as I can’t perform mechanics when this issue pops up.
my situation is a bit different. i couldn’t get past the login screen until i removed all of my toons from my favorites and the game played ok for a couple of days - just long enough to fool me into buying TWW.
earlier today i thought i’d start with TWW content and whenever any of my toons did anything remotely associated with TWW (going to the starting area, etc) the game would freeze and crash my mac. no error messages, just freeze and then crash. i now have my two best toons frozen in the TWW starting area - or at least that’s what i think it is as i have no idea since i’ve been able to do exactly ZERO TWW content.
now to add to the fun, whenever i log in to any of my toons i get instant freeze and mac crash.
if this doesn’t improve like yesterday, i think i’ll be looking for a TWW refund and put the game on indefinite pause. i’ll use my states lemon laws if i have to.
