I think you confuse having a different opinion with straight up insults based on
checks notes
people liking different types of content.
I try my best not to sling personal insults. I think I have a pretty good track record at not making things personal because someone likes something different.
I think you confuse being direct with insulting somebody. because I would gladly show you, what an insult actually looks like if I felt like taking a vacation from this forum. Looks like somebody backs down from fighting when the post is hosted by a community manager. I was hoping you might show them how you respond in other threads.

just the constant bashing of people doing challenging content gets old and is very weird it’s regularly accepted as being ok
and before someone tried to pull a gotcha. bashing anyone for the content they do is stupid
I never made a single comment about being a greeter at Walmart. I simply said seems like something to make a big deal over since the only reason anybody would have this title would be to flex and then change their default title back to what they use every day anyway. you may want to find the person that said put it on their résumé and go after them.

I appreciate that because it felt very unclear and given our post history together seemed like a cheap shot in the dark. But if it was intended for someone else, I apologize.
Reply function is pretty unreliable, it doesn’t always give the reply indicator.
If someone’s response seems like a non sequitur that’s probably why.
We have a posting history that instantly led me to assumption. Normally, I wouldn’t trigger so quickly, but they were kind enough to explain that it wasn’t clearly laid out so I was perfectly OK with backing down and apologizing.

I do try to keep discussions separate. I have no issue with disagreeing with someone in one thread, then agreeing in another.
while I will admit I can become hyper focused on my disagreement, I try not to make things personal and treat each conversation as a unique interaction.
as long as the people I interact with don’t make it personal, I just strike it up as a disagreement.

I’m the exact same way. In fact, I was extremely friendly to a particular mechagnome in one thread and thought we were doing great, but it turns out he still hated me from another thread that we had spoken in and absolutely ripped into me. so there was definitely a small layer of PTSD there
