Desolate wastelands and miserable dusty lanes. I vote Neri for the next peacechief. Neri’s first order of business. Terraforming Orgimmar and the Barrens into an aquatic wonderland. More prosperous for life. Second order of business. Seek to unite all the nations of Azeroth together in complete harmony and equality. No more war. No more strife. Peaceful times and goblins get all the manapearls they could ever dream of!
I really grew to like the Kelfin, I would hope that we get to see more of them in the future. Too bad the Horde got Vulpera, I would have played a gilgoblin in a heartbeat.
You may note that Neri and the gang and their allies are found outside Orgrimmar in 8.3. Clearly planning their move to the horde. Only a matter of time
It starts off well until it gets darker. Neri’s secretly evil, she was only acting nice to get into power. One day you have peace, the next day she’s installing a tank in the throne room full of sharks with laser beams attached to their heads! Dark times upon us.
I like them because they combine the ingenuity of their surface cousins with a greater focus on community well-being. They are immensely resourceful, able to make allies out of giants, makura, murlocs, and even tamed fathom rays.
Neri lead the Unshackled in a full scale rebellion against Azshara, and aided the Horde when they first arrived. They are fantastic. I still hope that they become a playable race in their own right one day.
They are aquatic survivalists who in hard times overcame the oppressive naga. They are much less greedy and morally enlightened than bilgwater goblins. Their origins are also very mysteries. They may or may not have been created by Hobart. If a gilgoblin is as intelligence as a the goblins we know on lands, just imagine what their tech would be like? I just find them all around charming. Of course as someone who loves goblins a lot I am also heavily biased.
I see, sound like more heroic goblins with a more whimsical charm. Definitely a cool culture that could be explored more. My SO loves goblins she’d be very happy with gilgoblins too.
I find it weird they added two different races to Naz and yet they didn’t make them ARs. After this expac Kelfin will be kinda pointless.
The Kelfin were the best part of BFA for me. I hope they’re not forgotten. If Neri isn’t brought back as Peachchief then she should at least get another leadership position
The kelfin are outside origrimmar in 8.3 and Neri shows up at the peace treaty. If blizzard was to actually have these guys join the horde and have continued lore and make them customization I’d be happy. The biggest downside would be no Kelfin druids, and the lack of racials and heritage armor, but Neri and the gang would still be helping us.
From the moment you meet them, you learn that they are survivalists looking to keep their people free while fighting ridiculous odds. One of Neri’s very first experiences with the hero was when she asks them to help find some of her friends which turns out to be heartbreaking.
You first discover one that was slaughtered by Naga and she explains how brave they were as a soldier but also that she will remember them for being a great friend too.
The second one is mind-controlled and you have to put them down.
The third is the only one still alive and you help them save a Makura from being controlled by the Naga forces.
With the Kelfin you learn they are strongly about community and looking to the brighter side of life. They share what they get and work hard to scavenge to get by.
I want a sea port city over and under the water by org! With our unshackled allies and possibly other aquatic allies such as murlocs, tortollan, undead (some sneaky k’thir too), water druids, etc. Maybe some friendly Naga.
