Vanilla:
No debuff/buff cap. Dual spec. Free Rank 14.
But the buck stops at… mage boosting? After letting us boost after all of vanilla ani?
Ngl, I think the absolute radio silence is more damning to the playerbase then the super out of touch changes. Like I’m sitting here rapidly tryin to figure out how much my teams plans are going to change for TBC, and having no, “yes” or “no” is pretty wild.

No mage boosting = store boosts = 30% profit margin. Thinking blizz cares about their player base is wild.
If it was truly about profits then they’d have already announced selling multiple boosts on the same account.
They may end up doing that but no word yet.

This argument would hit giga hard if they had put blood elf/draenei in the store which they didn’t losing out on a really big profit pool.
Also, Boost is literally more cost effective and time effective, not a sound argument.

Boosting should’ve been addressed on the fresh servers at the start. Players have made thousands of gold from boosting and some people just buy gold just to run their alts through these services. Boosting creates a economy that inflates prices and hurts normal active players, with some boosters pulling 200-500g per hr
I’m not against solo farming or even running guildies or friends through but selling runs to power level lowbies for gold has the same economic effect as RMT: it funnels large amounts of gold to small grp of players and distorts the entire server economy. Not to mention the lack of players to actually want to run a dungeon.
If blizzard wants/wanted to fix this, it should happen on fresh or new progression servers, everyone starts on equal footing. Fixing it late now is a lost cause imo

I just dont understand where they get these random ideas for the games… how hard would it be to let people vote in game 1 vote per active sub.. takes 2minuts to code a survey in game and get results lol
Everyone wanted wrath arena changes for TBC and instead they make it harder on themselves by implementing some weird team thing that doesent matter but only your personal rating does idk lol
Unfortunately nerfing boosting is a feeble attempt at Blizzard to curb the RMT problem (spoiler alert: it won’t work.)
I guess they think people won’t buy gold if they can’t buy boosts with it, but that logic is flawed considering a lot of people buy gold for end game consumes and flying unlock.

Nerfing boosting is a great way to stop RMT.
The nerfs aren’t even in heroics so you don’t have to worry about normal gameplay being affected.

wait… FREE Rank 14? *Looks at my hours spent in PvP* Yeah wasn’t free by any means. Still took time to get there…. “Opportunity cost”
“hours spent in pvp”
Yeah man, running from one side to another of AV was so much harder than it was in 2019.
