I can’t be the only one stuck on this one, surely.
I know how the mini game is suppose to work, but for me it just doesn’t. I’ve seen youtube videos of how it’s suppose to work.
I have tried it with my graphics on the lowest settings, I have tried it with my graphics on the highest settings.
I have tried it during peak hours, I have tried it outside of peak hours.
I have tried it when the expansion was current, I have tried it in Dragonflight when no one was in nazjatar
I don’t know if it’s the vehicle UI not working or if something else is going on but it just doesn’t work for me the way it should.
I wait till the orbs are close to runes (which is pretty counter intuitive for a tower defense style mini game), I see the button incurring the global cooldown swipe so the game is I assume registering that I pressed the button but no laser fires, and the orbs hit the runes and I lose energy, lose too much energy and you fail.
This gets even more infuriating when the sequence speeds up and multiple orbs come at the same time from multiple directions, what is suppose to happen is the lazer hits multiple targets but the 2 button particularly more often than not doesn’t do that, it works fine at the start of the sequence when the orbs come out slower and one at a time.
Reduce the time the sequence goes for I think it’s a minute? or make it more forgivable to miss some orbs or something.

This is just an insane mini game. Like I get making things a challenge but this is just inhumane. NO meta achievements like this should be 100% of any one thing. Like 6 of 8 for the these chests so in the event there is one that is just some developer’s sick idea of “fun” it can be skipped so people that don’t have the reactions of an F-1 Driver have a chance.

They nerfed several of the Mechagon achievements so you do not need to get 100% of what was required before the patch, to allow you to skip some of the more annoying, time consuming RNG pain points, it’s the same reason Rockweed Shambler got removed from the “thought you said they’d be rare” achievement. Nothing worse that farming on one side of the zone only to have the rare spawn on the complete opposite side of the zone and get one shot, that makes sense and shows blizz is more than willing to throw a bone to players.
Now if they could just do it with this stupid chest and some of the other nazjatar world quest that would be great.
Having the mini game fail for silly reasons like server lag because too many people were in the area doing the pet battle that’s in the same cave, the azshara forces event that in the same area wasn’t fun when it was current, wasnt fun in shadowlands when less people were in the zone, not fun now that people are going back to nazjatar and trying to do the achievement.

Yeah I know some were nerfed which is great but man this one or waiting for rare spawn that only spawn after you kill a different rare spawn that die instantly is not fun (Banescale). Like overall, I really like these big meta achievement things and can’t wait for whatever they do in legion but some of the more cruel and unusual ones need to be looked at.
I have tried this so many times but it’s just impossible. It’s like the global cooldown can’t keep up with the speed of the orbs, plus there’s always an element of lag. I submitted a bug report in-game.

It’s suppose to shoot mutiple lazers when it speeds up, for me it only does that with the 1 key (left side) but not the other two sides 2 (top) and 3 (right).
And yeah a bit of lag and it just flat out refuses to work, given you have to wait till the orb is close enough to the rune the get the lazer to fire even though you can press the button early but doing so will eat up the shield bar it’s a buggy mess.
I’ve put in several bug reports for it.

Submitted a bug report too. With so much heavy RNG on the meta, I wish that any thing that requires some RNG luck was not something that needed 100%. Like this arcane pylon or the rares.

It’s very hard but I did it yesterday I just made my mind up that I would sit in front of it and if it took all day then that is what would happen. By doing that it took away any anger or frustration about the whole process. It took 3 hours. It’s a set pattern that doesn’t change so the more you do it the more your mind remembers and responds appropriately.

That’s not the issue though. The lasers don’t respond fast enough which makes it impossible to complete when the balls speed up.
Then that is something on your end it isn’t bugged it is possible to do
Yes just nerf or remove plz , cant react fast enough, just downright stupid, have tried all tips and tricks just cant do it.

Hotfix today went out-you’ll only need 4. Maybe they’ll make the other WQ spawn better for people too. I just need 8 more levels on my last Undersea Friend and Jani is mine
