hope they disable them on PvP that would be way better than a 50% nerf
Why donât we make PvP tier sets differently from m+ or raiding. Just implement it into the conquest gear. Thanks. This is the bandaid for what us pvpers want.
Thatâs the problem with borrowed power, they have to hold stuff back from being inherent to the specs so they can add it back in under the guise of it being a âbonusâ.
Iâm definitely not a fan of PVE tier sets in PVP. The biggest issue - for me, anyways - is how the PVE tier sets are never balanced. Some classes/specs get something super fun, OP, and (possibly) meta-defining and other classes/specs get something super disappointing and dog-water. IMHO, tier set design shouldnât be shaping the meta.
When you get a bad tier set design, you kind of feel left out of the fun. While others around you are having a great time opening their vaults, planning how theyâre going to get their tier set, and/or theorizing about various gear combinations, etc., youâre kind of just sitting there thinking, âDo I even want my tier set?â A tier set, by design, should feel rewarding.
Honestly, Iâd much rather they just disable PVE tier sets in PVP and introduce PVP tier sets for the PVP community. Something simple. I mean, they could literally copy/paste C&S - every season - and most PVP players would be happy. At least weâd be getting something - and that something would be reasonably balanced. Flat % damage buffs, healing buffs, stat buffs, and/or damage reductions are always welcome, and easily tuned. An extra PVP Talent slot would be perfect. Heck, make the gear have more gem slots so we can play around with our stat allocations and make different builds. Anything, really. We donât need wacky PVE gimmicks in PVP. Nobody wants that. The PVP community is well aware of the fact that PVP is difficult enough to balance. KISS - (Keep It Simple, Stupid).
Looks like the 50% pvp nerfs are for current sets and maybe not upcoming ones.
Here is mine for example, the 50% nerf is effecting mongoose bite which is used in the current set but not the upcoming one.
Given current history, they will be in some future expansion.
