my guy what are you even talking about
edit: nvm I got it, you have no idea, that’s what it is. What is this:
lmao
Seeing big numbers =/= the class is OP. Even after the .07 rework, Ret never appears in top 10 on…anything.
It’s a rarity in top 100s. It’s insane that there has been a stigma that Ret is somehow insanely OP when the data doesn’t support it.
The expansion has been dominated by Warlocks, Mages, Dev and DH.
I just want to spam arcane missle procs with a prophecy of Doom trinket again.
Yeah just don’t. Fun isn’t it?
Now imagine both of them screaming into the darkness instead of posting the noticed problem in the beta forum, where it would stand a better chance of being seen.
OP is a green parsing heroic player that says ret has zero utility.
That was such a fun trinket. I miss thatbtoer set that summoned a hero to cast too
It was fun raiding with other mages. Whoever procd missles and pod on pull wins the day.
And how often have those mages been Arcane?
Mage could be doing 4x the damage of the 2nd place class and at most you could expect from blizzard is a 0.8% nerf to conjure food cast speed and them calling it a day.
Some classes have never once been meta in m+ in 4 xpacs, they clearly have their favourites
Considering mages have been awful for most of SL and DF raid wise lol
Some classes will never be meta because their design and toolkit isn’t good for mplus.
Just going by how beta is going as far as communication and reaction to feedback it has an equal chance of being seen here or in the beta forum or written on a subway bathroom wall. It’s honestly random on what Blizzard does. Arcane mage is op, could get them nerfed into the ground, could get iceblock nerfed, could get mages buffed, or most likely of all…nothing. Just look at what it took shamans to get the devs to even look at them.
Maybe in mplus but mages haven’t been dominant in raiding at all outside of early vault prog.
Leave us alone.
Tuning takes place on a final pass after the expansion releases before raid release.
Y’all are clearly getting worked up over nothing.
Keep blaming arcane for why you can’t be successful though.
The are squishy they are supposed to do more damage than everyone else. If their damage is supposed to be like everyone else then give them plate or some heals.
Arcane is fun. I have one of those. It’s a Vulpera.
Mages are squishy? That’s a take.
Looking at 10.1 overall Mages still take up between 25%-35% of top 100 across all fights. This is very strong representation. Then you hit cases like Sark where they were 60-70% of top 100.
But that’s not the point to be illustrated–the point is that people often see things get played and have a false equivalence of it being OP when the data doesn’t support it. BM and Ret were some of the most played specs in 10.1 and 10.2–they’re popular and easy. They dealt good damage, but never were broken at this time. The data supports this, too. Ret and BM, popular as they are and as much as people like to complain about them, don’t really appear in top 100 at all for any boss, ever.
