Nerf Warrior Threat

Please nerf warrior threat before dragonflight.

Pretty much only Arms, Fury, and Ret can pull threat off tanks right now and it feels horrible and Pally can at least Bop or bubble it off. Warrior just gets to die. Pls Jagex.

Warrior threat is fine. Its that big dumb melee brain that has to dump every single cooldown and GCD into a fresh pack that the tank hasnt even touched yet.

Yeah, no. It happens even halfway through packs after tanks establish threat, it happens when mobs summon extra adds, it happens to arms in aoe unless you’re changing targets every global.

DPS warriors generate more threat than classes than can burst harder like destro or WW (not including misdirect classes obviously).

You can wait 5 seconds at the start of the pack, but as soon as you drop spear and enter your bonegrinder window… mobs start turning red.

is number tuning. Wait till then tune the the class then come back and complain. Currently now several class have bugs to them and number tuning haven’t started yet.

I think I died one time at the start of Shadowlands to pulling threat. Afterwards, I learned to watch threat and kite out.

When I slap warbreaker, avatar, and banner into one Bladestorm, I pretty well know that I’m going to need to dump some rage into IP and possibly dbts early, because a tank doesn’t have that much snap threat in multi-target.

That said, Fury burst was definitely an issue when tier set released, and they have made some adjustments already. So I think they’re aware and feel the classes are in a good spot.

What grinds my gears? Glad you asked.
That melee still has a lower threat buffer to pull aggro than ranged. This should be changed from “melee” to just “tanks”, to give all damage roles the extra breathing room equally… But I have a feeling that mob AI is relatively unchanged since Vanilla.

IDK I thought the “Release Spirit” button was part of our rotation.

Fury tier set didn’t increase their AOE burst in any way though? I think we’re talking about different games or something.

If you haven’t been pulling threat on your warrior you’re likely pushing your buttons the wrong way.

If I happen to ever pull threat from the tank I just stop attacking until they get threat again.

When this happens in high M+ keys you just die immediately though.

You can’t pop defensives or anything? Are you zerging enemies before they’ve established enough threat?

I wonder if the problem can be narrowed down to Mythic+.

This an extremely common issue for warriors in M+. Essentially every M+ streamer has talked about it at some point, and any warrior who knows who to push reck and whirlwind on a pack will feel it - especially when you don’t have a misdirect in group.

DPS warrior generates too much threat relative to other DPS classes regardless of how long you wait for the tank to get threat on a pack.

Arms can parry, but cant parry casts or tank debuffs. Fury just dies instantly.

Maybe you should read the posts before you respond to them.

If you’re pulling threat, dying, and burning time on M+ keys because of your deaths, there’s a counterargument that what you think is right is not. You can maximize your DPS by ignoring what the tank does completely and charge right in and start hitting your highest damage skills, but when you die every pull because you’re not playing the same game, I wouldn’t come here complaining about it…

You can wait as long as you like for tank threat, but if you execute your burst correctly and there’s no hunter or rogue misdirecting, then you’re pulling threat.

It doesn’t work this way for any other class.

The threat levels on tanks at Shadowlands launch was atrociously low and everybody was pulling threat off tanks and abusing the hell out of them for not doing their job properly. Know what Blizzard did? Buffed the threat on every tank in game by 10% because they stuffed up. Hopefully if it is an issue it gets fixed super fast or I will be dropping my tank once again.
