I farmed secret pets, leveled them up. Ive been trying for days and losing.
Can you please nerf this. I beat it on the first day with the pets I had but I didnt know you needed secret pets. So I went out and farmed them. ( Still working on Bumbles and Baa’l ) I’ve leveled Spyragos, Nelthara, Wicker Pup to 25 as recommended on Wowhead After several tries for several days I have yet to get a win. If I could continue on the secret quest line it would not be so bad but you cannot. Honestly I am happy for those that have complete this in 3 attempts but honestly this is not rewarding for people who have put in many many hours to get the pets and then deal with over the top RNG. I thought to day I would get a few more alts of mine ( I have the Title and torch ) but you cannot fast track your alts either.
did you get a pet battle stone to turn the wicker pup into a rare/blue quality pet?
after i did that, the fight became much easier.
If it helps anyone, I used Nelthara, Taptaf, and Wicker Pup in that order. Taptaf can probably be easily changed for any other pet.
Nelthara should be able to btfo the first pet and also chunk the second pet. With some luck you can finish off the tank with your second pet mostly unscathed. For the monkey, I took barkskin on wicker pup to nullify a bunch of damage from the bananas.

imagine calling for a Nerf on a pet battle that has multiple strategies that simply has to follow a specific rotation. And I thought I was casual in this game. 
It’s still green in his armory. That particular strategy has a small amount of RNG, but nowhere near enough that a person should get stuck on it. However it is dependant on the wicker pup winning the war of attrition at the end which likely requires the pet to be upgraded in quality.
Tip: if you get the lucky/unlucky stun on the second pet, immediately swap to the wicker pup (so that you both swap pets at the same time), skip down to the recommended move rotation for it and the fight is still winnable.

Yeah, the whole thing is a lot of RNG but I found it much easier with the wicker pup at blue quality.
I wasn’t paying very close attention, but isn’t it literally just the Darkmoon Faire guy and his normal team? Sure looks like him and his normal pets.
Did they sneak some new moves in there or something? He wasn’t very challenging.
The twist is that you have to use pets that were rewards from past secrets. So it’s a limited selection of pets and usual obvious strategies aren’t available.
(or at least that’s what I gather from the guides … I didn’t actually explore it in detail myself)
If you have Spyragos, Nelthara, and Wicker Pup at 25 and rare, I didn’t even change any of their abilities out and I beat it in 1 try without reading any guides. It doesn’t need nerfing.
Yeah but some of those secret pets are also really strong. That dragon from Forbidden Reach throws around elemental attacks, pretty sure it would make minced meat out of his tonk pet. It has sandstorm too. So that takes a lot of fangs out of the monkey’s banana attack.
And the wickerpup is also a unit. Pretty sure those two will just about clear with whatever as a third to take out the wimpy eyeball.
The OP is someone who hasn’t been actively participating in pet battles and is just following a move-by-move guide without the experience needed to adapt if something goes off-plan.
Since their wicker pet is green quality, this strategy is repeatedly failing. This appears to be what is creating their frustration.
Ah. Scan the Kaz’algar maps for pet dailies offering the blue stone. There’s usually one up, and they scale to your pet team. Go in with level 1 pets and push them over. Use the stone on your wickerpup.
Honestly, pet battlers need to start calling out these plebs and telling them to “git gud”. These whiners wouldn’t hesitate for a second to do the same when we complain about how hard m+ or whatever is. But now that the shoe is on the other foot for once in the blue moon, they immediately flop over like fish out of water. It’s freaking hilarious 
I have no need to stoop to that level. Makes me no better than them. I am also not an advocate of name calling.

Thank you for your understanding Eternosus. You are correct in that I never do pet battles with exceptions to doing the monthly reward achievement. Its just not something I am interested in though I know many players enjoy pet battles.
Both yourself and Eternosus have been extremely helpful. I have upgraded the Wicker pup to rare and hope this resolves the issue. Even so it is particularly cruel of Blizzard to make this fight so difficult knowing many many players have no idea how to play pet battles like a pro. Also considering the Mountain Dew Red Felcycle was only available to players who live in the USA and the Felcycle is the only option atm for players from other countries to obtain a Felcycle.

Ok so this is where its at.
I upgraded my Wicker pup to rare lvl 25 and did the fight with a alt ( I know I know my alt hasn’t got Ratts Cave unlocked but I wanted to see what happened )
I won the fight first try and wasn’t surprised to find that the quest didn’t pop up with Jeremy Feasal, but then other people there mentioned that they were winning also and no quest was popping up for them as well ( and I asked them if the had completed pyre 1 - 4 with a globe on top. To which they have indicated they had. They had the 3 secret pets ( all rare lvl 25 ), the 4 globes, detective title on toon, torch in hand, lucky shirt and lucky items in bag and still no quest !
Ok so what is going on ?

Everyone I have been speaking with are all having the same issue. Either it is unbeatable still after many attempts even if the meet all the criteria or if they win the quest does not come from Jeremy Feasel
This is a complete waste of peoples time. The entire anniversary event has soured many players and has been sluggish lagging buggy trash. This is not professional game design
