Nerf SP necro leggo?

The necro mage pet can be cc-ed, shackle-undead-ed, los-ed easily in PvP.

Good priest/pally will dispel the disease immediately so no ramp up at all in PvP.

Imo it should be nerf by 10% if dev feels it’s a lil strong. But not by 40% on a leggo. SP has no good spec leggo in pvp because casting mindblast/mindflay will put u in shadow lock easily and high end player will 100% punish you for that. (no disperse and no fade if locked out) .
Also it’s super immobile to cast mind blast for 3.5k damage. It’s better to just purge instead.
This problem will just worsen if player can equip 2 leggo later in 9.2.

Please consider the nerf in a pvp perspective and if the initial raid data indicates SP damage is too high then please offset it in pvp.

Thank you.

Typical Blizzard. Something is slightly strong, so instead of fine tuning it, they just hit it with a hammer until it doesn’t do the thing they don’t want it to anymore

That’s exactly what they do and then people don’t take it anymore. I don’t like when they make changes in PvP separately though because it’s very hard to keep track of what has been nerfed or what hasn’t since they don’t provide separate PvP/PvE tooltips

When your S+ tier spec receives a nerf

I’m pretty sure this is a PvE-targeted change no?

You would be correct. Spriest was sizing up to be the de facto range spec for raid. This change should put them more inline with other range specs.

It is

Double Lego is looking pretty strong for them. Unfortunately pvp being nerfed is just collateral damage

hopefully they keep smashing necrolord SP with nerfs

class is autopilot into anything it counters and suffers miserably versus anything that counters it with very little room for counterplay on either side

What does necro spriest counter?

Necro, venthyr, SP is not the issue, the issue with sp atm is that their team utility and defensives are way over the top with fade and disperse being such low cooldowns there is rarely a chance to actually catch them offguard now add a warrior on top of that and you can easily see how it gets problematic.

SP just need small tunings, make greater fade 60 sec cd and MD should have a realistic cast time

do you know which classes can dispel diseases

PvE nerf messing with PvP as usual, damage isn’t the issue with Shadow. It just forces people back to Venthyr and it’s boring.

if it’s not damage what is

Utility, fast MD, GFade, thicc Psyfiend, all instant cast CC. Plenty of games where I’m last in damage or third. You can kill the pet, shackle, dispel the disease, there’s ways to stop it, 40% nerf seems pretty wild.

i don’t mean to be pedantic but it sounds like the tools sp needs to win games and fit into comps are unaffected by the proposed damage nerf

Yea spriest needed nerfs but thats not exactly what shoulda been nerfed. Its a pve change that carried into pvp. Also u forgot nerf void volley not dring with eachother.

at least it breaks on dam. i swear i lose more hp in DB than void volley

i dont think volley breaks on damage easily. do u know how many games ive won by a lucky volley out of a stun letting me torrent to death.

I got killed by this on my mistweaver monk because i didnt respec that spriest running at me.

it breaks in less than a second on me all the time, idk what to tell ya. maybe lower settings don’t render the void zone well and you’re describing people who don’t bother walking away from the easier to dodge ones so they get chained by several
