Nerf Rygelon in Sepulcher Mythic

Anyone know any tricks or is this is just needing nerfs?

Increase of Damage Numbers Delivered to Hostile Enemy

Yeah hes really OP and it sucks for anyone not geared 80.

…so was I overgeared for it?

I had zero problem with it. Or is it the fact Im a hunter?

Ive seen loads of people say they have trouble with that guy, but…the whole thing is easy to me.

If you do enough damage to burn him down quick enough, it’s fine.

If you have a pet to tank for you, it’s fine.

But if you are solo tanking it as an undergeared 80, rygelon’s tank debuff will stack up and start ticking on you for about 300k dmg per second.

It’s not impossible, you basically have to sit there and spam heals on yourself until he transitions to phase two and your stacks reset.

But if you on a class that can’t self-heal, it can be quite rough.

Most of my characters are 683 ilvl and burn him down.

But I do have a boomkin alt army that are about 610 and don’t do enough dmg, but they can go bear form and press frenzied regen with bark skin and be fine.

I didn’t play the fight when it was current but I did clear it solo last season and what gave me trouble on mythic was the three orbs exploding at the same time. I don’t know the names but there’s 3 orb things that spawn with a circular timer. Touching them picks them up and resets the timer. I would just make them go off at separate times.

Not sure if this is what is getting you but was worth sharing.

Just beat him up, he is just some nerd who talks about your astrology sign.

Yeah that’s about how that works, you need to be 2 expansions later and have gear on.

Necrolord Covenant with the Fleshcraft ability. Kill the orbs before they reach Rygelon and you’re good.

I wouldn’t say you weren’t “over” geared, you had the gear that is required to do it without issues. You’re in full heroic and m+/mythic track gear.

Hunter probably helps, I haven’t tried it on my hunter because it’s geared worse than any of my other 80 alts.

My 630 Shadow Priest and any other alt around that ilvl isn’t able to do it.

671 ilvl is about right which sucks because I’m not devoted enough to gear up all my alts just for some mount runs, I was already done with the season until they put this buff out lol

So level up some alts.

if you are struggling with rylegon, swap to necrolord covenant so you have a big absorb shield. the shield will prevent you from receiving the second dot while it’s up, so it won’t be as damaging

I’ll have to try that, thank you!

He was doable in ~620-625 gear in S1, though with some creative use of Shadowlands features (primarily, picking Kyrian covenant with Pelagos on every character and using the covenant ability, because the mastery granted is up in the 18k range at level 80).

Good tips here on Necrolord if you’re struggling, for sure.

You can absolutely do it on a 630 SPriest; you just need to actually do your rotation properly and rotate defensives after 40 seconds or so because the fight has an actual DPS check.

A beast master hunter in 671 gear. It’s pretty much easy mode at that point. Pet’s handle most of it, and the stats did the rest :white_heart:

If you don’t want to increase your item level, you can also bring more players. The fight scaling is the same as everything else.

Ok, I’ll take your word for it 684 spriest

A 684 SPriest that coached a 624 friend who has played the spec for maybe an hour tops to a Rygelon solo.

If I wasn’t already saved for the week I could item restore as much Nerub-ar Palace gear as I can and probably solo it at ~637 without breaking a sweat.

EDIT: Whoops, I lied. He’s 620.

I’ll take things that never happened for 500 please
