I don’t know how long Ret Pally has been viable as a DPS class, but it’s news to me. In Burning Crusade, Ret Pallies were considered a joke for DPS. So please, don’t.

They need to nerf fire mage, arms and ele I honestly don’t understand this blind hate for rets when those 3 specs exist!. Atleast we’ve been getting nerfs !.

That’s like %97of WoW specs, this game is not hard. And ret isn’t the only S tier dps spec and definitely not the best S tier either.
I don’t think that is what they are meaning. It’s not like we are talking having a simple dps rotation or something.
It’s more about how safe something is to play, classes that can freely make up for many mistakes with things like strong utility and defensives etc are more forgiving and thus easier to play.
Definitely agree those other specs you mentioned need to be brought down as well. Ele is the only one of those who has seen significant nerfs over the patch cycle.
How the top specs seem to get overlooked this patch has honestly been beyond me, it’s probably one of the most significant margins we’ve seen in class balance for awhile now (discounting corruption gimmicks) and yet it seems be largely ignored.
Please be specific. Ret isn’t great in PvE, so I’m assuming you are talking about PvP burst.
Moreover, is ret REALLY broken, or do a lot of people just hate when Paladins are good at anything but healing? Can’t find ways to mitigate against an all or nothing 2 minute cd?

Ret is fine. If they nerf ret then they better nerf about 4 or 5 other classes too. OP got beat up by a ret.
Better solution…get rid of PVP. It is impossible to balance classes for PVE and PVP
Ultimately the main problem is just bad class design. Ret can’t be balanced. It’s either going to be overpowered or underpowered as long as the entire spec revolves around being a low mobility low uptime melee dps class that relies on strong burst damage when they can connect to their target and self healing because they lack the mobility to disengage from fights and they lack defensive abilities to survive damage outside of their long cooldown Divine Shield.

Please nerf all classes that I’m not actively playing at this very moment. I think a 60-65% damage and HP reduction for them should even the playing field and give nice balance. I mean, how am I supposed to compete with their one-shot “I win” buttons? My class/spec/covenant has the highest skill cap of them all and even with my perfect rotations, cooldown usage and uber skills, I can only do about 20% of the damage of those other classes.
Ret isn’t even that OP
