This complete garbage skill-less class is ruining the game. A storm of 900 million ret paladins from ragnaros are doing 40k damage, at range, with a single press of divine toll.

It is incredibly stupid and should have been tuned the first week. Problem is Blizzard just said they won’t touch covenant abilities. So…what can they nerf?
Maybe 50% less damage in bubble? 20% increased damage taken?

They need to nerf divine toll. No way around it. They can keep nerfing divine favor or WoG but divine toll is the main culprit and they’re just punishing any paladins at this point that aren’t Kyrian

At first i thought the long hair on the OPs icon was too modern for classic then i realized thats just the cloak buttons.

Ret is like the fourth best melee spec behind warriors, windwalkers and rogues in the current competitive meta. Is it dumb when one comes up behind you in a BG and insta gibs you before you can press a button? Yes. Does it need to be nerfed? Probably not because thats not really PVP.

Rets use sera, wings, final reckinging into a 1shot, its not like they have to cast 3 globals which are predictable, its sad but there is just no counterplay to this spec.

I heard when you press a defensive cd and your team cc the ret you don’t get 3 shotted, so maybe try that next time.

But there are some videos of that fat r1 shaman in youtube where his partners fully sit a hoj w/o trinketing and die with all cds available, and then make jokes about a chill streak nerf.
If you could only get out of the hoj (and yes, nerf ringing clarity).

Thye nerfed rogue covenant ability for kyrian literally week 2. They nerfed convoke as well (not enough but they touched it).

Yea, just don’t ever let the ret use 3 globals in a row in an arena. Super reasonable. No way a ret should ever be able to use his abilities on you or you’re playing wrong.
I agree the hunt should have never made it past beta testing
Just remove covenants, i love abomb limb but if it means not having to deal with saving kick/grip/stun all game for convoke id gladly give it up.
For what 1 1/3 expacs??? Dude I’ve been playing since the end of TBC, we have been garbage for most of the time I have been playing this class. That said…
I definitely believe that Divine toll needs a nerf. It clearly does way too much damage and that’s by other rets that DO pvp. They clearly see the spell as broken.
But to nerf the whole ret class is absolutely ridiculous. So essentially by nerfing the class as a whole, you want us completely noncompetitive. That’s what you are insinuating.
haha! couple weeks ago i got tired of ret pallies shredding me in seconds so i made one. Its insane how much divine toll can do if it procs. My pally is 201 item level, faced a 39k hp warrior in arena, blew him to the moon in 2 seconds, laughed out a lung almost.
