We have plenty of parses of pug groups killing the boss. Parses are the proof. What a silly question.
Iâd love to see the success rate of PUG groups killing this boss it wonât be a pretty sight.
The secret to success is do it on a Tuesday.
Youâre just a noob. You are alone here. Think about that.
I killed N raz after 4th attempt with my guild. My guild isnt even midrange.
Maybe tell your players to do some homework with videos.
As someone whos tried ras 50+ times i have got to p3 a handfull of times in 3 different groups and only ones to the storm add at p3 (didnt kill it). The rest poop the bed before p2
So yes plz on making it easier. Im half there for the loot (that ill roll for and fail, did the whole raid without 1 drop) and the other half to finish the quest to kill ras
Ras itself contains issues and is contrasting what I think people were looking forward to when moving away from Shadowlands.
Right now, an extended fight with a lot of instant kill mechanics causes a lot of people to wipe. And by attrition alone the average player cannot pug in a group for 2+ hours it takes to fully coalesce a group thatâs both knowledgeable and skilled enough to kill it.
The majority of the actions themselves suffer similar to what Dathea suffers from: An oversaturation in boss-centric spells leading to a bit of perception-based difficulty in parsing where, what, and when things are happen. Often Raszagethâs abilities overlap. Especially in P1.
Itâs really not that hard, though there is an argument to be made that it should be treated more like M+ is - maybe if you wipe a minimum 30 times you get a free mythic raid ilvl choice from the great vault?
Nerf it to lfr levels so I can do it.
If youâre wanting fights that can be cleared with minimal brain cells, LFR already exists.
odd. i have had reverse luck with normal raz. 3 weeks in a row i pugged him and 3 weeks we 1 shotted him. he is literially no harder than any other boss in there on normal i found.
so not saying that heroic raz needs a nerf either, but it probably wouldnt hurt considering that pugs can go in and 1 shot the 1st 7 bosses and struggle to make a p2 transition on raz. and its not a mechanical issue. its just a damage output vs unavoidable damage taken problem.
I expected normal rasz to be harder but we got it in a couple pulls iirc.
Heroic dathea was a wall for me personally. Had like 50 pulls but they did end up nerfing it.
Theyâve been making end bosses quite hard for a while now except normal Jailor (not sure if that is a good or bad thing, just what it is).
Per wowprogress ~1000 more guilds are 2/8 mythic than 8/8 heroic.
the players you just described shouldnât be able to kill Raz at all in normal⊠and I have my doubts about LFR!
you have two more difficulties to flex on kill, normal should be doable without perfectly executing every mechanic and not having more than two dead dps
remember when back in the day, instant death mechanics were something to avoid and not go to the forums and cry about?
Back in the day bosses didnât have fifty complex overlapping mechanics.
It really didnât start until MoP
Incorrect. You should be able to put gear an instance or carry a few team mates with disabilities. WoW is suppose to be a social game. In all societies there are under performers. They pay the same rate as everyone else. âNormalâ should be for those people. Heroic and mythic should be completely removed. Those modes are for toxic elitists.
Why should players not good enough to time a M+ be rewarded with boosted ilvl great vault loot, but players not good enough to kill normal Razza get nothing?
This I agree with, actually. I think there should be room for âbeer leagueâ players in normal raids. Guilds should be able to carry their 1-3 friends who do not perform as well as the others.
But this is just silly. Why remove harder content for people who want to do it?
That said, I think the Rasz fight is pretty fun. On normal it really is just about following directions. Weâve got one player in our guild who gets hit by that beam every single time and I really cannot understand how, when our raid lead calls it coming every single time âŠ
