Orcs are overrated. Humans, Nelves, Dwarves, all have better racials imo.

Only reason why Orc is so popular is because Horde is the go-to faction for any high end content and Orc has the only decent racial for PvP.
They should mirror racials across factions imo

Problem with orc or problem with shaman needing to play orc to not be dead?
What if 20% stun reduction was baseline in pvp for everyone (bake it into the pvp trinket bonus) and humans and orcs got something else for racials?
Like maybe orcs could get some kind of ignore pain/reduced damage at low health where they can just shrug off some amount of additional damage before keeling over and maybe humans could get some kind of AOE inspiring presence/rallying cry type ability that buffs allies for a short duration in some way.

This. Alliance has a lot of really good racials. Horde only has Orc. Sure, Orc is good but it’s not always the best depending on comp. It’s just that right now everyone is Horde so of course anyone that can be Orc will be. Once people can play whatever faction they choose and still get queues I think we will see a shift.
Also RMP is really insane now as well, along with the return of 7 second stun (how tf this sneaked back in I have no idea) so this also makes Orc even more attractive. Tone down Sub Rogue and get rid of 7 sec stun again and Orc will come down another peg.

For certain classes the stun resist is just too good, where if you don’t have it you are at a huge disadvantage.
Side note, I agree with RMP statements, but it’s not just RMP any comp with a sub rogue… I mean the entire class has a different (less optimal) rotation against Orc.
After the alliance racial nerfs everyone switched horde because you’re gimping yourself if you’re not an orc.
It was either orc racial nerf or cross faction to even it up and I’m good with cross faction pvp!
I think even with cross faction I doubt Shamans will swap from Orc.
My Main issue is that there are 20+ Races and I don’t feel like I have a choice in playing a different one.
The decision becomes either:
Play a race I enjoy and be at an extremely noticeable disadvantage.
Play orc and hate the looks/lore

Yeah i agree. You’d be silly not playing orc as the other racials dont compare as shown by the stats.
The only solution would be to rework/nerf the racial like they did to fix the human racial disparity.
You’re best bet is to use the addon to change your character race for you alone if it’s still around but otherwise it’s just a trade off to have the better racial.
I’m a spriest so I can’t play orc and don’t heal so undead isn’t game changing so I’d likely use an alliance racial over horde if I were currently horde.
I would expect only a few specs in this scenario to go alliance and mainly those who can’t be orc so the % of orcs won’t move much.
