Nerf Marksman

WHY are they doing 300k aimed shots to plate wearers? like holy hell these buffs WERE NOT NEEDED. REVERT THESE BUFFS

goes on my caster and within like 2-3 globals he gets 1tapped. like you guys just baked sniper shot into aimed shot now this is not fun to play against. inb4 “oh they crack under pressure” yea they dont they just stand still and cast aimed shots back 2 back

Because it does a percentage of total health as damage.

Time to play my hunter alt again.

You’re thinking of sniper shot. Aimed shot is just a rotational ability that got buffed and does way too much damage

It’s not just the outright damage. They have too much utility. Things that should be looked at. Obviously not all of them should be used together.

  1. Rapid fire cooldown needs to be 40 seconds. Or give them an option. Reduce the cooldown to the current time but force them to be stationary. Or increase the cooldown to 40 seconds and let them move while casting it.

  2. Too much crowd control versus melee. It’s bad enough hunters almost always get the first attack on you from stealth or while you are fighting. You are already half dead. But if you try to get in their melee range you will be trapped by any of their three major traps. And let’s not forget the knockback. Solution is to reduce hunter damage by 25% when a melee is within 10 yards.

  3. Can’t interrupt their physical abilities which just happen to be their biggest damage abilities. Solution is to put them into a school of magic so there are more ways to stop those attacks.

  4. Stealth: Sorry, but a ranged class with tons of damage and cc does NOT need stealth. And if they keep it, there needs to be some serious drawbacks like having half their energy drained while stealthed.

  5. Mobility: While they don’t have the best mobility in the game, they don’t really need it. They can still chase you down with a talent that increases their moving speed by 30% if out of combat for 3 seconds. This almost guarantees they’ll run you down and get off another rapid fire (which can be used while moving) to finish you off.

I say let them keep the damage, but make them less mobile and more prone to interrupts so they flop over after getting their kill. Put their attacks and traps in the nature school of magic. Only steel trap should be physical.

Melee eats Marksmanship similar to how Marksmanship eats clothies.

I hate this tbh. Just doesnt make sense. Some level of immersive logic should apply. Like rogues should be slippery but squishy, melee does less damage on plate than mail and both are leaps and bounds ahead of leather and cloth. Hunters should eat cloth alive. Wizards are some kinda nonsense between squishy and elastic.

Don’t think I’ve heard anyone say this about hunters lol.

Only thing they lack is a direct self heal.

They have everything else.

Guess what? Mages and warlocks also don’t have a direct heal.

I’m confident you have never had a decent thought in your life.

What makes you so confident?

My thoughts are all in prayers for you when the upcoming hotfix within the next two weeks nerfs your hunter.

he plays SV tho

Someone please stop me if i’m wrong, but does exhilaration not heal the hunter?

alter time for mages? healthstone for lock?

scatter trap was also nerfed?

I’m really confused. some patch notes come out, buff mm damage, and all the sudden hunters as a class have too much utility. I don’t necessarily want MM to be strong considering my main but we should probably put away the pitchforks and talk about things that are actually an issue. Hunter toolkit isn’t one of them.

I guess I should have said a direct spammable heal like hybrids get.
