Lower Kara needs to be nerfed blizz

Saying this doesn’t help. What mobs you struggling with? What boss? I personally find lower the most fun dungeon since BFA.

The 10 mile run back if you die at literally any point in the dungeon (no checkpoints)

Flashlight hitting like an absolute train in AoE and being awful about hit registration (will blind / kill you while looking away)

The sheer amount of trash mobs to burn through.

Maiden resetting aggro on shield cast, causing melee to die randomly

Huntsman dispel being a pug killer (similar to flame wreathe)

Did I mention the lack of checkpoint?

The mobs that patrol in such huge patterns that it’s nearly impossible to make a run back - usually requiring a potion or invis just to get through some of them (even after having pulled the area)

I can keep going.

Both of these are solved by the death skip a lot of tanks have started doing.
The flashlight mobs (ushers) do have weird aggro problems, I’ve randomly had them snap aggro onto me (with mutliple tanks who don’t otherwise have aggro problems and misdirection) and kill me. That’s why I like skipping them.

The forums have been blowing up with all the reasons why. They’re aware of the issues. They just need to see more people say it.

Death skipping shouldn’t be a viable way of doing dungeon content.

There’s a death skip in Iron Docks that people haven’t caught onto yet - I’m sure they will for higher keys, or in MDI. It was meta when we did WoD CM’s, but I’m fully expecting that to either get nerfed or become unviable really quick.

It has way too many trash packs and too many mobs in general, especially when it is sanguine week. 42 minutes is way too long for a 4 boss dungeon.
Maiden wipe → run back takes ~3 minutes if you don’t clear specifically for this case.
The trash below the theatre stage tends to get aggroed/hit by certain AoE spells (Warrior NF ability i.e.)

This is the only problem they should try to
Fix however it happened in legion too with many abilities. I don’t think they can fix this. The rest of the stuff is just people being unfamiliar with it. It’s just a lot to know.

For real. Literally every single lower kara I’ve pugged has been a disaster. I’ve seen like 15 runs fall apart under the +10 range. This dungeon in un-puggable as a healer. Garrote from moroes ticking for 11k on people on a +11 fort with no way to remove it without kyrian or a pally. Different classes’s aoe’s breaking the ccd stage mobs (shadow priest tier.) Flashlight doing like 30% of people’s health in a +7, god forbid when the tank pulls 4 at once. Everything about this place is unfun and has me seriously considering going back to ffxiv. I already can hear the players with a full guild/friend group all in disc saying how easy it is. But when you’re pugging it’s the worst dungeon I have ever done. Any random person dispelling on huntman wipes the group. That means kyrian auto phial. Monk Diffuse. Md. Dwarf racial. This was supposed to be a fun chill end patch. instead all these dungeons are awful because blizzard didn’t test anything and just released it omega overtuned like Sepulcher.

Death skipping is degenerate gameplay and needs to be removed. (Bigger reasons it happens is because trash pulling after Opera is buggy as hell and will cause the bottom floor and packs behind wall to pull)

Yeah, but until it’s fixed this is honestly the best way to go about it.
Not saying Lower Kara isn’t buggy and flawed, but I don’t think it’s impossible either.

Lower Kara either needs some of the trash removed and percentages tweaked to compensate or needs the trash to get nerfed in difficulty across the board, one or the other.

It also needs checkpoints and some boss tuning.

My fan of shield went through a wall near attumen. Pulled every mob in the area. They prob should address that too. :slight_smile:

Death skipping is one of the core strategies of m+. In Legion, we had a failure detection pylon that rezzed people who were near it.

I’ve been avoiding Kara both upper and lower until more nerfs take place.

Your missing out man even with the glitches those dungeons are real fun!

I believe phial does not dispel magic, as I was concerned about this happening so I looked it up. The debuff is magic.

The preference here is to only have the tank remove theirs if they can in order to bait moroes to garrote them again since they mitigate it the best. He will always pick a player with no stacks or will only double stack if everyone has 1 so you can game it. They have now made the bleed EXPIRE after 1 minute, making it so there will never be 2 stacks to deal with. 1 stack per person is indeed healable although difficult. Before those bleeds start really
Ramping up, there isn’t much to heal if people are avoiding avoidable, so I would recommend holding and rotating CDs and telling the group To do so with defensives during the last 60% or so of moroes when he is alone.

I agree that this is quite complex compared to what most people are used too from shadowlands dungeons, but I believe that this is what makes the dungeons so fun and challenging. I also believe that as time goes on, players will start to understand what’s dangerous during the encounters and take the proper steps to live them. The early stages of “new” content can always feel daunting and I understand the fry for nerfs, but I recommend embracing the challenge while it still feels challenging!

42 minute dungeon with 4 bosses vs. 30 minute dungeon with 4 bosses.
Boss fight length on a given m+ level is similar. Now we have 12 minutes extra calculated for trash. Guess which week will definitely be harder for this dungeon when the time spend on trash can be up to 50% higher than on many other dungeons.
It is bad tuning by default.

Edit: Look at Streets of Wonder, 39 minutes 5 bosses. End even Junkyard at 38 minutes has way more freedom of roaming around especially since almost none of the area is a long singular corridor. And especially the 2 Mechagon dungeons are tuned a lot better. The best global keys are on those 2 for a reason and not because everybody likes them for some arbitrary reason.
