Thanks Blizzard for killing my class. Yes we could 3 shot people in the opener… IF THEY DIDNT ICE BLOCK, BUBBLE, DISPERSION ETC… Then we were left with nothing and no cooldowns anyways… it was the BAD players who couldn’t react fast enough who died quickly and cried nerf. Don’t destroy our class over bad players… GG and since Classic is dead already and since you just nerfed my main class in Retail I guess I am done. Thanks a lot.
lmao
Only a FOTM player would rely on that broken burst damage for wins instead of learning the ins and outs of the class.
This nerf was obviously coming. Sub will survive.
Looking at the sub rogue nerfs, they arent even that bad. 10% nerf on a 3 min cd. And 4% nerf on Nightstalker. Cold Blood was just a bug fix, and will do, what 1% less damage now (10% of 10%). The rest were Kyrian nerfs which were much needed. This will barely affect my ability to deal insane damage on an opener with MA. Sub is still fine and will still do lots of burst damage. Its just the Kyrian rogues that are malding because theyve been running around like 2headers thinking they were good at the game.
I dont really see that big of a difference between having to pop symbols for guaranteed crit and dance for more damage and then kyrian ability vs a 15k execute or a 9k templars verdict, or stormbolting a rogue through evasion and killing them. It was the hardest hitting ability and it probably shouldn’t be but I just can’t believe they didn’t touch almost any other class with nerfs
“Yes we could 3 shot”
Bro lol
Honestly the nerf to kyrian still makes it a better option than Necrolord, I was originally necrolord and it was absolutely underwhelming. Shadowblades I also expected to get changed. The only thing that had me worried is if they removed the crit leggo from the game or nerfed it to the point it was useless, I really am not going to have the time to farm another leggo to rank 2 when classes start for me after the holidays, This nerf I can live with. What I’m more surprised with is how some other classes were virtually untouched who were doing as much damage as we were, but all in all it could of been much much worse. Don’t worry, rogues are still rogues lol plus I’ve weathered far worse nerfs than this over 16 years. People love to complain anyways, I’m sure they’ll be complaining about another class by tomorrow.
Bye!!! Have fun with whatever the next FoTM is.
I don’t play Rogues enough. I just made my Zandalari Rogue last expansion. I’ve always been a DK main since its release. For second time within the expansion, the very first character I leveled within an expansion as non-Dk class: that class being a Rogue.
and I still think Kyrian Sub Rogue is broken. The fact that Covvy ability is being the only ability that works with Symbols just screams me picking and getting nerfed.
It was fun to delete people while it lasted. xD
i expected a nerf to kyrian, pve trinkets and master assassin in pvp. I did not expect the additional nerf to sub’s basekit in NS, coldblood and shadowblades. Nerf abit overboard.
I liked the “we could 3 shot yes”

thanks for the laughs
Sub will still be strong, If you’re depending on a broken opener to be viable on rogue then clearly you shouldn’t be playing rogue to begin with.
Thats good tbh, The spec needed to be gutted.
No one should have to pop a big defensive like that within the first 5 seconds of an arena just to survive a burst…
Then you weren’t playing necrolord correctly.
13% bonus agility every dance in pve and 9% in threes isn’t anything to scoff at.
The NS nerf is sin only
[With regional restarts] Nightstalker (Talent) increases damage dealt while Stealth or Shadow Dance is active by 8% when engaged in combat with enemy players (was 12%).
It’s not a serious nerf at all. Cold Blood SHOULD be reduced by Versatility. That was an oversight (so should greater pyro). Shadowblades was barely touched and represents less than 2% of our overall damage anyway. Nightstalker reduced by 4% sucks if you were running it. I prefer Shadow Focus with the haste levels being so low right now anyway, so it doesn’t effect me. Also, I’m Necrolord, not Kyrian. They should have nerfed Echoing Reprimand by 90%. A 50% nerf with a 30% conduit nerf still makes it too strong imo, but at least Blizzard agreed that it should be gutted.
Ultimately this works out to a -4% on Nightstalker and -10% on Shadow Blades. Pretty sure we’ll live.
Imagine thinking forcing big defensive CDs… IN THE OPENER, is ok.
I just read the first one under sin.
4% isn’t that big if a deal
