With the hero talent for more deep breaths, it’s a balance for being constantly displaced by your own spell.
Like if a mages’ dragon breath required you to blink.

There’s a normal talent that gives you the option to teleport BACK to your original position after deep breath.
Evoker’s are literal mobility gods.

Yeah hover is stupid. Makes Evoker very unviable kill target for melee comps and you have to pick between never being able to catch him all game or letting him freecast melt your team with mass disintegrate all game.

Yeah it’s delightful. I was trying to see how long I could keep the Hover buff even using abilities that I would never really use in tandem with each other.
Was able to get 90 seconds as Scalecommander Augmentation.
Open with Time Spiral and triple Hover for 30 seconds immediately.
Breath of Eons to recharge both charges, 20 more seconds. Up to 50 now.
Time Skip, Hover. 60 seconds now.
Just before it runs out Time Spiral will refresh, you get another Hover. 70 seconds.
Just before it run out again, Breath of Eons will be up thanks to Time Skip, 2 more Hovers.
90 seconds of hover uninterrupted.

Also, nobody take the 80% snare option, its 50% for most us.
Evo, also has no fear, stun, prison. They have 1 root on a 1.5min cd. The class would require more CC if they weren’t good at kiting.
The real issue is that a competant dev, will ruin the fun of the average PvP players. But against elite, the class is strong, but not the top dog.
Kinda like the old stun lock rogue. They would ruin your game if you were on the learning phase of PvP. But not even S tier im arena. Period.

1 root doesn’t last 90 seconds like chain hover lol.
They also the only class that can be immune to 3 CCs, uninterruptable heal and can use it while CC’d, and do crazy dmg, they also do have a stun what are you talking about lol and los wall better than mages
Watching people get so bent out of shape over a game mode that blizzard literally doesn’t care about and treats like a mini game is wild, lol.
