Nerf diamond flask before Naxxramas

it makes loathed trivial, it should’ve been nerfed a long time ago. I am a warrior and I use it, but ui don’t think its fair. please nerf it to make loatheb harder

Yeah, that’s true.

Unfortunately, a vast majority of people playing classic, don’t want the game to be hard. They want it to be as easy as possible. The "no changes’ crowed, don’t like a challenging game that requires skill. Hence, why they’re so adverse to testing themselves in retail and insisting classic is the superior product.

Meanwhile, they all rave about their parses and how great they are at the simplest version of the game ever created.

There are infinitely more things that need fixing before diamond flask. If your complaining about “easyness” , remove peoples ability to load DBM. There, solved

Heal through the first minute when there’s no dooms going out I guess?

If you’re killing Loatheb in one minute (90,000 raid DPS) it’s not diamond flask that’s breaking the content.

I have always hated dbm, and dps/threat meters. I remember feeling out how much how much dps you could do in vanilla, and that was a real meta skill aspect of the encounters.

Diamond flask lasts 1 minute. The poison does little damage and is easily healable thru ur Bloodthirst and Crusader procs. The first Inevitable Doom is cast at the 2minute mark (this is where diamond flask would come into play), unless you want to be on ur “diamond flask set” and do absolute toilet damage for the whole fight, it isn’t going to be worth it.

ur not thinking about the main tank. it makes healing thru loathe melee attacks way easier for a whole minute.

Somehow I don’t think many guilds were wiping because they couldn’t keep the tank up for the first minute of the fight with nothing else going on.

Loatheb’s unmitigated melee hits are around 7-8k on a 1.2 second swing timer I don’t think a heal for 700 or whatever every 5 seconds is breaking the fight overly.

Yea but the tank is the only one taking damage in the 1st minute and flask is never going to be enough to keep him up alone. And since your healers are rotating their biggest heals on ~5 second intervals anyway, all you’re doing is increasing their overheating. Literally doesnt affect Loatheb at all

Rude? Anyways the whole #NoChanges is a lie. They have been fixing bugs that existed in vanilla such as Battlegrounds terrain/exploits that didn’t get fixed until later expansions

Just like the Ectoplasmic Distiller was changed, Diamond Flask should be as well. This will trivialize some upcoming content and boss encounters. Diamond Flask healing sets generate a large amount of threat along with very large and significant self healing that is snapshotted for 1 minute.

Makes perfect sense to change Diamond Flask to at least not snapshot - you should have to be currently wearing the +healing gear to get the added healing and threat effects at the very least.

Can all be done via macro or add on thanks to new found knowledge. This did not exist or was mandatory in classic.

Would argue its not mandatory at all in classic. People still do it yes.

It’s a joke on loatheb unless you plan to kill him in under a minute which makes you avoid all the mechnics a diamond flask could theoretically assist with.

It would be a much larger help on a fight like patchwerk. and then still barely.

Nerfing diamond flask wont make classic hard, classic is just so fundamentally far from hard we have a few xpacs before we get there.

Swapping 2 one handed healing weapons both with +55 healing on them is A LOT of free healing and can be done with a simple macro… So it is worth it but it’s broken either way and should be nerfed

How about we make bloodthirst scale with +healing. That could make for some fun times in pally plate healing gear.

Its like 110 +healing on top of the 40 or so you’re probably getting from the weapon itself… So you get the heal of 1/8th a renew. Truly game-breaking.
