Just that. Pretty much nothing I can do against them. They are WAY too overpowered. As a Fury Warrior I can never keep up with them. ESPECIALLY when I am the only melee in a SS. There is literally NOTHING I CAN DO! I’m VERY salty over my last game goin 0/6. It’s not a matter of “get good” when you are against that.
Dev dmg needs reduced and the amount of spell schools they have. doesnt matter what you kick they’re always casting something and flying all around the map while doing it.
And what other spell school are you going to kick other than blue? Fire breath isn’t one tapping you and they’re nothing 2m+ living flames on you. The only thing worth kicking on dev is blue.
Eternity surge and disintegrate are what you need to stop.
Sure, I know it can feel that way, and it’s definitely a bad matchup for you. That doesn’t mean they automatically win and you automatically lose, though, especially because you get them ON your team.
Also I mean NO offense whatsoever by this, but you’re like 1800. You’re not playing at a level where you or your opponents are using their toolkits as well as they can.
You can’t control the matchups you get or how your teammates play, but you CAN control how you play. You can’t expect to 6-0 any lobby, but you really shouldn’t ever 0-6 regardless of the matchup.
Well warlocks are the #1 trained target in every match. However if i am cranking out 800k dps its split between 3 people who stacked up and allowed me to get a soul rot/haunt combo off with phantom and i get a few malefic raptures off thats it and its split between multiple targets where as devs are cranking that much out on a single target so its much more scary. Not to mention they’re spamming one ability and ive got to do much more to make it happen
Well i definitely dont expect a 6-0 game every time. That’s just silly. It was a REALLY lousy game and I had to rant. I normally don’t get those awful matches but they do happen I know. I appreciate your words and being a troll. Some classes and specs are very hard to stay on top of due to their extreme mobility. Especially when you are the only melee in the game. Had another one just a little while ago with SP, FM, and an ES. The only target I could really attack constantly was the ES. Won two rounds out of that.
Dev is miserable to fight on smaller maps because similar to melee they’ll have higher uptime. But there is a whole lot people can do into them that they just don’t.
Consistently seeking to disrupt disintegrate or range it will neuter dev damage by a ton.
But people just want to stand and bang then get shocked when they get lit up.
Also remove maneuverability so DB doesn’t reset hover.
I think dev is fine for melee if the hover/freedom reset gets fixed? Currently they just aren’t viable kill targets for melee outside of really bad outplays, right?
Would gimp Dev and they already not in the top of any pvp bracket.
The problem lies in the core mechanics of the class.
Dev must spend all of his def and cc in order to secur its mouvement and spread burst. They got basicaly no countroll over the battlefield outside of that.
They are already not that high in every pvp bracket, nerfing their mobility would just make them useless.
But they can make the average player cry tears of rage.
I think the correct tuning knob for BM is dire beast damage. It’s the most passive part of its kit and what keeps a lot of its damage rolling when it’s CC’ed or otherwise not doing anything.
However they also need to fix marks. Put overshadow back in bell toll’s place, make bell toll a base function of black arrow. Nerf withering fire by 75% in pvp so that it’s always the wrong option to take, and give it a choice node between withering fire and a talent that functions the same as pre rework withering fire. This way aimed shot, rapid fire, and black arrow can all do meaningful damage on their own without the worry of random oneshots when the hunter gets procs in trueshot.
