Especially Firemaw.
That statick shock debuff need to be gone from SOD.
Firemaw way too much of a menace right now without any Trial up.

Nah BWL is fine. The raid is literally flex, if you can’t do it with 20 people that its designed for, just bring more healers or players to compensate for your shortcomings. Raid needs zero nerfs to make it easier.
lol youre kidding right
no.
BWL way too hard for a seasonal classic test.
Literally 1 mechanic too much on firemaw.
oh okay you are kidding, sorry my mistake
My only issue with firemaw is that it wasn’t really clear how you are supposed to clear the lightning stacks. Melee kept going out at around 8 but then were stuck standing there. Maybe we were doing it wrong idk.
Annoying mechanic for sure.
Use FR. My bad I forgot, better whine on the forums for nerfs before you put half a brain cell to work
Same for us, Melee keeps getting out at 8-9 stacks and standing there not getting to 10 in front of Firemaw.
We just stood there zapping tanks all fight ![]()
I talked with a guildy about it who did it on a different run. Apparently you will only gain lightning stacks when you take damage, but you don’t take damage if you are too far away from the boss. So melee need to prepare at 7-8 stacks and stay within the range that you are taking damage until you reach 10
We cleared the fight and my understanding was that around 8-9 stacks, just spread out and it seemed like once you got hit at 10 stacks, that is what cleared it (or at least went back down to 1 stack). Some of the BWL fights were for sure getting used to all the mechanics, and we were our guild’s main team from heat 3 MC, so were pretty geared. We were able to do a full clear after doing 3 bosses the first night and the rest the next night. Honestly Nef seemed like the easiest out of all the bosses and we were surprised we got him on the first attempt while still booned and people didn’t do full consumes. I’m sure we’ll do much better now that we’ve done all the fights, especially with the fact that we didn’t do any trials on our first run.
BWL and onwards never felt like raids you’d start a pug for unless you do a serious gear/experience check/bring more people. People that are undergeared will def. not help, especially on the 2nd boss. Even we wiped on him quite a number of times until we got him, although making sure people knew what they were doing is part of that. I wish you the best of luck in BWL progression and hopefully guilds are still going back to MC if their raid team is still lacking a lot of phase 4 geared people. ZG of course will also help with some great items like rings that are hard to get from MC sometimes.
Was wondering how long it would take for this thread to pop up. Lol completed it in a pug yesterday. It’s fine.
I dont like gimmicky fights where the boss has to be pulled into some odd corner and players have to do little dances to LOS the boss. Its too videogamey. Not really a fun boss, tbh .
Took us 3 hours but we full cleared last night. Total chill dad guild. We only got hung up on firemaw for 1 pull until we figured out just eat the shocks and just get out on 8 stacks if the fire debuff. Ebonroc/Flamegor we had the most trouble with as we learned the positioning and handoffs.
Chromagg and Nefarion, the traditional difficult fights, were pretty easy.
Difficulty seems fine for a capstone raid. It’s not ZG loot pinata easy but you can get it done with a casual guild.
You have to leave LOS until flame stacks fall off and then go back into LOS but away from everyone else until lighting stacks reach 10 and reset to 1.
Honestly it took some getting used to I would keep the difficulty and maybe just give people the tbc honor system in sod so they can catch up. I am not sure firemaw is the big boss as well most people who did h2-h3 mc have 100+ fr and can resist some stacks.
I think they will nerf it but for aq40 and naxx I hope they have normal and heroic on separate lockouts.
