This doesn’t bring hundreds of levelers to the open world instead of dungeons. Or disincentivize RMT.

Taking it away wouldnt put them in the world, they just wouldnt create new characters.

100% not true. People on SoM still leveled alts.

SOM was also a failure.
Actually being able to find groups is new to the last like 2 months or so. For the vast majority of Era’s existence, there were no leveling groups, and boosting is the main reason for that.
For the long-term health of Era: boosting needs to go.

Such a double edge sword this is. Boosting was always a thing, but it wasnt so prominent as it is now.
Both boosting AND GDKP should be banned because it encourages people to bot and to buy gold. It also guts the leveling zones significantly. It was common back then to power level your friends a little bit, but it was never such a thing to spam 10 minute full instance runs for gold over and over. Its kind of like how they had to nerf Raid XP because people were forming raids for the dungeons and just destroying everything for xp turbo fast.

Eliminating monster XP from raids would be a good change. Raids were never designed to be XP grinding locations.
Not true.
Just because you don’t see a leveling group doesn’t mean that there isn’t one. Most (not all) of the time, YOU’RE the group! So lead it!

Only 50 people playing was more the issue.
Bots are getting out of hand, not boosters. Take it or leave it.
Bots bot because gold is in more demand when people can pay their way from 10 to 60 through boosting.
Boosting makes gold more needed, which makes bots bot to make gold for people that buy gold for boosts.
Boosting also boosts bots for all sorts of activities related to late game and end game.
It’s a circular problem.
Yeah, people buy gold for other stuff too, but buying gold for boosting became the #1 thing in Era.

Agreed. Era has been popping off and so the player base is now big enough that there’s a good amount of people in the world, but there would be even more without boosting and at times where the population dips it would make a difference to keep regular dungeons going.
