Yeah, nerf boomy. Mostly so feral can become the ‘meta’ spec, on account of how boring boomy is and how fun feral is.

Feral can no longer be in the running for meta, assassination has been buffed massively - our role as ST pumper melee has been delegated lol
I think its more of a case to buff other specs. Balance is decent and other specs should be as well but they’re not.

Gimme Innervate back, and maybe, just to give Feral something unique but Druid, gimme Tranquility back too.
Don’t need Boomy nerfed for either of those things, and neither screws with actual damage tuning. (And both are things Feral used to have)

Their quick to buff rogues but when feral has been bottom tier before they do nothing.
I play feral regardless of where it or balance stands in any content. Played it since vanilla and I honestly can’t even remember the last time I activated the balance spec. I do sometimes run balance affinity when I play resto.
Could see why you want what you’re asking for, but I personally think it’s more fun for Ferals to float under the radar.
That said, we could probably float under the radar even with a nerf to boomie. Certainly not opposed. But I don’t think boomie meta kills the fun in feral in any way
You only like playing it because it’s the #1 DPS class for every piece of content in the game.
If boomkin was average, you’d more than likely re-roll

Echo just cleared CN with straight up boomkins. If spriest and aff are top tier, then why isn’t it 28 spriests or 28 locks?
Fire mage is tied for #1 with boomkin for M+ right now. Fire mage pulls ahead IF you do large pulls. I’m talking 2-4 packs since flame patch isn’t capped. If you play like 90% of people in M+, 1 pack at a time, boomkin is better dps wise.

Soures for #1? Just go look at MDI or raider io. Show me a team that clears 21+ without a fire mage or boomkin. Raiderio shows druids as having some of the HIGHEST if not the HIGHEST representation in any timed key above a 15.
Edit: Just admit it, you play a broken class that can press one button and sky rocket in DPS to the point no other class can compete. If they nerfed convoke by even 4 casts I’m willing to bet you’d be re-rolling because you like being on top.

btw this only shows how much you don’t know about the class. 16 spells, 4 useless ones, 12 balance. Remove those 4 and Convoke damg changes by 0.1%

- While I like playing Balance periodically, it’s actually the least played of the 3 specs I’m using (I’m currently focused on Tanking for friends, 2nd with Resto 'cause I like healing, and then Balance when the others are covered 'cause I like ranged and dislike melee)
- You’ll see the above if you actually look at Raider IO, etc.
- In general, I believe more in the philosophy of improving other classes and specs rather than nerfing what exists, especially if what exists “feels good”
- Now don’t get me wrong, I can 100% understand nerfs in PvP because from what I’ve heard it gets crazy there, but I also hate/don’t do PvP so I can’t speak much to it
So… No, I’m not playing the class just because one spec is FOMO, and no, I wouldn’t change the class because I literally just changed over to maining a Druid because I wanted access to be able to do both Tanking and Healing AND have a ranged spec (because again, I don’t like melee and neither of the other hybrids have a ranged spec).
To note, I used to main a Mage, and I also didn’t play Fire because it was FOMO. I actually play what I personally enjoy, can make the most of, and get good synergy with the friends I play with. Which is now Druid.
Thus, your response to me is not only wholly inaccurate, but incredibly rude considering the volume of presumptions you were making about me as a person.
I would strongly recommend that you slow down, breath, and consider approaching the topic in a more specific manner rather than simply throwing daggers at anyone that doesn’t appear to agree with your personal philosophy.

I haven’t looked back at logs for prior tiers - when was the last time they were below middle pack?
