Then they should probably stop writing us into committing unforgivably evil sins.
I was trying to come up with something to say, but I’m just genuinely speechless
Like… What the hell?
I don’t even know
This is what happens when you write yourself into a corner, and all options to write a story out of it are bad. You just hit the reset button I guess
That’s the point I’ve been getting at this whole time.
The entirety of the horde (minus saurfang, baine and like 30 horde) was ok with everything during the fourth war until she said horde are nothing and flew off.
“But we put 10 hardcore loyalists in chains and let 20 others leave for good!”
Woah, ya got me.
It’s because they’re pushing Horde to the extreme.
Before it was just land disputes. Like Ashenvale was a land dispute. Horde wanted the wood, Night Elves said no. So they fought.
No one was like “Hey, let’s just go burn down the capital” until Sylvanas showed up.
Did our player characters and leaders go along with it? No.
Oh wow, because in game sprites are 100% completely to scale with the world as a whole, and Org and Stormwind both have populations of only about 200-300 people right?
Purposefully obtuse as always.
Land dispute. That’s like me breaking into your house, raiding your fridge and sleeping in your bed and you having a problem with it, ‘land dispute’.
First off chosing to follow a psychopath after supposedly they had learned with the last one is already evil.
But they have done tons of other evil things on their own too. Vol’jin attacked the alliance at Ash’ran because he feared the artifact (the objective of that BG) vol’jin also told Baine to shut up when Baine wanted to protest the attack on Theramore. Attack which most of the Horde celebrated, heck the Horde only rebelled when they were in danger themselves.
The warsong had been invading night elves lands since vanilla, the forsaken were always evil.
And yes of course there’s a lot of good people in the horde, specially the Tauren, but thing is the Horde as a whole continues to get easily convinced to do evil things for random reasons including following such leaders so yeah , they have been built as the evil faction over time.
That would be fine if Blizz didn’t try to over and over change the narrative only for the horde to commit more crimes with impunity again.
I think the bigger problem is the Horde always expects to get away with the flimsy excuse of “It wasn’t us it was our Warchief”. It wouldn’t be that bad had they not embarked on their yearly genocide vacation with the new Warchief.
The saying of “one person does not make an entire faction evil” is getting pretty old and tiresome when the faction faithfully follows them till they abandon said faction.
Didn’t the Night Elves kill first and ask questions later in WC3? I can’t remember, but I thought they did.
Like Tyrande’s first interaction with Thrall wasn’t “Hello, I’m Tyrande.” It was “GET OUT OF OUR FOREST”.
How large was saurfang rebellion?
Definitely was not the majority.
How much did horde do during fourth war, as a faction?
How many listened to nathanos and sylvannis orders?
If there were so many good guys on horde side, why was there a fourth war at all?
Hell even saurfang was complicent until the plague bombing in undercity.
I strive to protect the living from freezer burn, so they go in little baggies.
kinda how it works when you break into my house.
because they reeked of fel. You missed important details.
“How dare you not give us wood which rightfully belongs to you? It’s zug zug time. Me point and kill now!”
-A Horde member to Tyrande
WWII was just a land Dispute, Hitler wanted Polonia’s positioning and they said no.
It’s because the first thing orcs did was go and deforest when the Tauren had already warned them while carrying an army. If a foreign country starts taking a country’s resources with an armada , the country will respond with an attack.
If they would’ve left in the intro storyline of where we actually go through the battle at Darkshore and see the tree burn, we wouldn’t have this issue. That should’ve been the freaking intro to the expansion.
So they’re going to give BFA the AU treatment they gave to other dog xpacs like WOD. Honestly, it would be less expensive to riff the writers churning out the bad storylines. If they’re going to write something asinine that a lot of players hate, and then retcon the whole mess later it would make more sense to hire decent writers to begin with.
“Hi murderous tribe of orcs destroying our ancient ancestral forest, let’s hug!”
If I kicked in your door and started stealing anything of value, and eating anything in your fridge, you gonna offer me a beer?
For some dumb reason they removed the intro to the expansion before the expansion ended.
It was humans too. In the campaign she wanted to kill Orcs and Humans.
