This has been my thoughts about the update exactly. This wasn’t marketed as like some big half-patch or anything like 10.1.5/10.2.5. I was expecting a lot less, and while Plunderstorm isn’t what I was expecting, I probably would’ve been doing my same old same old routine.
It’s been a fun addition to the game. I’ll be curious as to what other things they’ll make with the WoW assets and how they’ll be incorporated to the game.
People with developmental issues, like poor upbringing, struggle to articulate their emotions or empathize. It’s probably just another hot headed PVP sociopath, don’t fret over them. They’re pointless and a waste of existence.
This was marketed as a patch for world of warcraft. A patch is when updates and/or changes are made to the game. Nothing was done to or for world of warcraft. We got a side project that has nothing to do with world of warcraft. It’s a separate game and genre that’s wearing world of warcraft’s skin.
It’s not an addition to the game. It’s a separate game that has nothing to do with world of warcraft.
I’ve started a bad habit of running into the stormwall when someone guns for me. I could just let them kill me and reap the benefits of my plunder drop. But why bother? If I have to suffer through this for the renown rewards, they can suffer with me.
False. You can receive a one-time normal item redemption, flightstones and crests up to Wyrm’s with the keg-stamped coins.
Ipso facto it is tied to power for alts (or potentially mains).
Yes it is - all the development time they spent on creating this brand new game mode that is terrible and unfun could have been put into developing actual content for WOW - the game we all pay a monthly sub for.
I can think of zero solid reasons for them stabbing this into retail instead of making it a stand alone thing like Hearthstone. Its caused a plethora of issues within retail (chats and other settings resetting to default EVERY time you log into retail). Along side its own bugs, tons of us aren’t receiving the renown rewards properly. And its not even a singular reward. Some are missing pets, others mounts, other pepe (me), some the titles, the outfit pieces… Any of the rewards for retail, you name it, someone is missing it.
Lots of posts in the bug forums about it. No blue posts addressing it.
I try very hard not to moan and groan at this game cause there’s a LOT of people who just dunk on everything specifically to dunk and be stinky about it.
This though, is really frustrating ACTUAL Issues. Sorry for the rant reply. This is all just so asinine.
It would have been fine as a standalone side title, instead they shoved it inside retail, stuffed it full of retail rewards, broke retail a bit more then it was already broken, and are focused solely on appeasing those trying to enjoy the game and ignoring EVERYONE with grievances beyond “This skill needs tweaked”.
If you took a helicopter way up into the sky and grabbed some of it in a clear plastic sphere and brought it back down to look at it, would it be blue?
Why does a separate game have a renown track with rewards for wow? It’s a completely unrelated game and even a different genre, it’s just wearing wow’s skin. Reward me for playing wow, not for playing another game.
Let’s take a quick look at why some players may be negative about it.
1: Pay to play wow
2: Wait for super secret WOW PATCH that was hyped as a new and innovative event for WOW.
3: The “patch” is a side game completely disconnected from wow aside from some skin.
4: No 10.3 coming.
5: So many bugs in the game they pay for.
So… stop giving Blizzard grief about a patch with a pirate theme that turned out to instead be a Fortnight clone with a WoW skin over it that has nothing to do with the game and is not, in fact, an actual patch to the game? Got it.
Stop white-knighting Blizz on this one. They don’t deserve it here.
I think I need to remake that “stop having fun” meme some have been throwing around on Twitter erroneously into a “stop having opinions” version that actually makes sense.
