I don’t raid anymore. The piece of gear would be irrelevant to this character but not irrelevant to my other characters.

It matters, because they are claiming they have to play plunderstorm to get a normal ilvl piece of raid gear, meanwhile they havent killed a single raid boss on normal difficult since the start of dragonflight.
I’m hoping for a bullet storm deck-builder civilization souls-like train simulator that awards an account bound legendary piece of gear myself.

Go back and show me where I said you “have to” play Plunderstorm to get a piece of normal raid gear. I’ve said, correctly so, that a piece of player power is tied to Plunderstorm. You’re wrong again.

As a collector, having to play a game mode that I do not like or have interest in which is counter to everything wow is is a joke. Collectors will carry this mode until it ends. Without the junk from renown it would be DOA.

Maybe they don’t have 2 hours to devote to raiding but can slowly spread over a week or two get enough 10-minute Plunderstorm matches in to hit renown 5 and get the normal gear piece. You don’t know but decided to be arrogant and condescending when confronted that a statement you made was factually incorrect and instead decided to quadruple down. Take the L and move on friend.

When they do the weekly quest to run 5 timewalking dungeons to get a normal piece of raid gear, do you complain on the forums they are forcing you to run time walking dungeons? No because its not the only way to obtain that piece of gear, and right now the average player should be beyond the ilvl of normal raid gear, if you arent that means you dont actually play and the plunderstorm reward should be irrelevant to you. (if you are being honest) My main point was the power progression is not a weekly mandatory event tied exclusively to something like torghast, stop pretending that it is

I visited the forums this morning and see threads of people uninstalling wow because of plunderstorm, my statement to them is stop crying about an additional game mode.
What does that have to do with Plunderstorm (a separate game)?
Based on what exactly? Are alts not a thing anymore?
Who are you to tell anyone how to play and what their progression “should” be?
Nobody has said anything about it being mandatory. You, YOU said there was no player power tied to Plunderstorm and YOU are wrong. There is player power tied to Plunderstorm.

The same way that you feel entitled, I will throw it back at you. Who are you to tell people they dont deserve additional game modes? Who are you to tell people they don’t deserve a normal raid gear by playing plunderstorm? See what I did here, since you are so entitled
Timewalking is a part of the retail game. Plunderstorm is not. and again, we are talking about an outside game mode awarding player power/gear and you keep deflecting and using “whataboutisms” You said it doesn’t award gear progression when it in fact does exactly that. It doesn’t matter if 1.2 million players don’t need that gear. It is still awarding an account bound piece of gear for playing a totally different game. How would you feel if it awarded a Mythic account bound piece for winning 10 Hearthstone matches?

Very annoying…precisely the reason I didnt even bother to check it out. Once I saw it was separate from my normal login, I lost all interest.
Not sure why they did it that way, but I can see it driving some players away from it which is a waste, if you ask me.
