I just finished leveling my BFA alchemy on an alt toon and unlocked the tools of the trade item(Sila’s Sphere of Transmutation). For some reason, it’s requiring me to have a philosopher’s stone to create it, which the only item in the game with that name being a vanilla trinket. I wasn’t able to find any other pictures of people making it and needing the philosopher’s stone. Do I need to level my normal alchemy too or is this like a bug?

Doesn’t have to be the Siren’s Alchemist Stone either. It can be any Alchemist Stone from a past expansion that says “Can be used for transmutations in place of a Philosopher’s Stone”. The Draenic Philosopher’s Stone in particular is very easy to make and doesn’t require that much (assuming you already completed the expansion intro).
