Need/greed in LFR

Yeah, not my cup of tea either.

the fact you just said you cant waste your time reading proves you are just trolling. and i said alot more than don’t like it leave. nice try cherry picking and moving goalposts lol

That’s because you’d probably get banned for needing on a Cat girl’s sparkly star wand because it goes against the Heart of the Moon or something.

In PL you were already competing with 5+ people to get the loot.

I’m a Seeker of the Sun so it’s cool.

FF14 also, first of all, actually polices its community for poor sportmanship, and second, only allows you to get one piece of gear per week until that gear is no longer relevant, in raids (which you can run continually until you get said piece, instead of only getting one run per lockout), and only allows you to have one of a piece of gear at a time, for dungeons, and places almost no resale value on gear in the first place, so “gold spec” isn’t even a thing

This. PL is fine as the only loot option for LFR, and a good option for pugs.

its possible the sun could explode at any second to, and yet here we are still living the dream. no its not greater chance they need that item because PL routinely handed out duplicate pieces of gear. or gear you didn’t even need… how does a one in a million occurrence SEVERELY reduce someones odds of getting something they need… when you talk to you ever stop and think about how stupid what you are saying sounds?

Funny, I ask that same question any time I see one of your posts come up

Sure, but I don’t see much issue with the loot we have here either, you win some, you lose some.

I just prefer the current system vs pl, I’ll actually start raiding again.

and AGAIN, you avoid the topic completely. you say dumb stuff, someone calls you out and you just try to be snarky back and refuse to engage on the dumb crap you are spewing. yeah i said that. everything pertaining to your obtuse statements about pl and gl conveniently left out.

I don’t engage with people who resort to insults out the gate, I mock them. If you want an actual discussion maybe try being civil about it

Or, I suppose if you want to get technical, mocking is a form of engaging…I don’t debate with them, how’s that?

Thats funny, the last 10 bosses i killed (last few months) didn’t even give me the opportunity to roll. Just a big “you get nothing.” The opportunity to roll on something and lose is better than just never seeing anything at all.

Debatable, i’ve witnessed dps fail to kill on multiple determination stacks until they left and more geared people/people who press buttons joined

I think it’s wrong to assume you know what someone else considers an upgrade. People will roll on the stuff they want.

Even if the piece isn’t an upgrade. Does everyone who participated in the kill not deserve an equal opportunity to receive loot?

it’s so weird to be here watching all these people (who seem to be calling for the return of PL) argue for straight up shutting certain people out from receiving loot because they think those people don’t deserve to be able to roll like everyone else…

It’s wild. This is literally what gets cited as the only good point of PL. The fact that everyone gets an equal chance at loot. Turns out ya’ll are the problem PL was protecting everyone from the whole time. Maybe we really do need PL back for LFR, people can’t handle manually choosing to roll for something they want. To protect people, from themselves, we clearly need to bring PL back.

I agree that group lost was completely unnecessary. But let me ask you this. When personal loot was active and piece of gear drops to someone and they don’t wanna trade it have you been upset?

Right now it’s the same. Before group loot game automatically clicked need for you, and gave the piece of loot who ever won that invisible roll. Now it’s just visible. You still have the same chance to get the piece of gear like you had before

It only happens if you A) Win the Roll, B) Are present to see that you won the roll, and C) are unable to loot the item for one reason or another

I don’t get why the obvious solution wasn’t in a premade group allow master loot and force personal loot in lfg/lfr. Best of both worlds: organized groups get back the ability to set their own loot rules, random groups have the “fair” system to prevent abuse. Win-win.

The people who were asking for The old loot style were not asking for it in LFR, they were asking for it because they took it away completely for manual formed organized groups.

Because that makes way too much sense.
