I have learned a lot, and I appreciate peoples different perspectives, but I still prefer personal loot in LFR.
That’s fair. As an LFR hero myself I greatly prefer GL, so we’ll just have to agree to disagree. Happy hunting!
Yeah i’ve had no loot drop from LFR, N, or Heroic raids for 2 weeks now. At least with personal raid it kept track of when you didnt get gear and sprinkled it in. Now it seems the gear favors one or two people a raid and everyone else is SOL
The loot system in raids is similar to personal loot but it’s more transparent.
Source? That’s never been confirmed by blizz.
ok? But why care? if someone wants a cool bow and a bunch of people group together to make that happen, that’s a bunch of people paying for the game, working together to achieve stuff in the game?
Is it that blizzard hates the players?
source: I said so.
People wouldn’t be complaining about never getting loot, if they never received loot before LOL.
I’ve never done so much content before and not received any gear for it. I’m not sure if it’s a PL vs GL issue but blizzard has turned the loot way down. I don’t ever remember a time in my 10+ years playing WoW where it’s been like this…
The amount of loot hasn’t changed. RNG supports your idea that you eventually got some loot now and then, and that’s still the case with GL.
these past few weeks that’s hardly the cause. If I wasn’t doing delves and getting the same trinket and shield over and over so my vault can drop a 616 piece, i would have no gear. Raids on LFR, N, and H are dry.
I don’t need the people who took a month to confirm that Guilds banks were emptied by a glitch to tell me whats happening. I can let experience, and the experiences of others confirm that for me.
The ideology that something isn’t happening until Daddy Blizzard tells us it is, is absurd. Thats why after raiding for 5 expansions and seeing the gear drop this time i know that Blizzard is up to something tricky
Couldnt disagree more. The excitement of rolling on potential gear is way more fun than running any raid where you loot nothin but a pitiful amount of gold.
Well to be fair, when PL was still active, such gearing mechanisms didn’t exist. It was usually just some gold and those silly crafting mats that were totally useless due to the work order system not being in existence yet.
Whatever makes you feel better I guess. I’ve had plenty of dry spells in both loot systems. Until someone actually provides proof that PL had some kind of protection that I must have magically never experienced I’m not buying that it existed.
Thats fine, you’re entitled to your opinion.
If i had to guess the reason everyone has this feeling is because delves made everyone’s ilvl too high, so blizzard has been stifling rewards to try and keep the average ilvl where it is. But its not my job to convince you of that…
Nah, WoW’s looting system is just terrible in general unless it is properly instanced where every player in the party just gets their own loot table that they roll from. I really really don’t understand why the loot has to be so limited. Let everyone have their own unique chance of getting loot.
Hey, I want gear as much as the next person but conspiracy theories aren’t helping anyone get more. Loot numbers in raid haven’t changed and GL was reintroduced and built to favor people who actually needed loot. These statements about PL having some kind of protection with no basis or confirmation are just absurd.
So happy that a goober got a 597 weapon when he already have a 616 one, while other people are rocking in their 570-565
When did we go from an actually community that help others to equip themselves?
Indeed it is, i guess you are one of those who roll need everything to sell later, and personal loot that is harder to do right?
This is false. PL had bad luck protection. You were not guaranteed the loot you wanted, but the chances you would go multiple weeks with nothing were near zero. In fact I used to run LFR just to fish for 4 failed loot attempts before doing progression bosses to up the chances I got loot if the progression boss died.
This could work well. I also love the old AQ system where as you were grinding trash, you would bring items to the vendors outside the entrance to have pieces “made”.
So what you’re saying is, that the rest of us aren’t getting loot because we’re queuing with people who have lower Ilvl’s and the system favors the lower ilvl.
Has that been confirmed or are you creating absurd statements for your confirmation bias. Where did Daddy Blizzard confirm that? Link it up
I agree, maybe level the old roll system for the mythic folk to knock their heads against. LFR to Heroic should be personal. While I enjoy running LFR Wings for fun, If I’m doing it for the raid set it makes me want to pull my own eyeballs out!
