Need the ability to report for gameplay sabotage in keys

Had a tank have a meltdown over a run, and literally hold the group hostage through the vote to abandon system given the first vote failed. They intentionally kept pulling extra packs to ensure that we could not progress without them. I could only reort for name and inapproraite communication, not sabotage when it clearly applied in this situaiton with how they were behaving.

I put in a report for inapprioate name, but I fear that will not be sufficent enough to get them the timeout they seriously need.

Report player > communication > boosting/deranking.

They deranked your key.

Idk how the algorithm works, but it takes X amount of reports for you to get an automatic warning, and Y amount of reports and you get an auto-ban regardless of who’s in the right. The counter for how many reports you’ve received recently resets after Z days.

I would love to see where you pulled this nonsense from.

Well I mean I got banned with no human intervention. I posted in LFG searching for a static key team for Mondays at 6:00. I imagine people right click reported me for advertising or something. I got booted from the game and received an automated email.

Feel free to do your own experiment. I’d imagine if you posted a “Selling m+!!! 8 9 10 11 12 13” you’d instantly get reported by dozens of players and get banned.

I got a squelch once for trying to recruit a raid healer in LFG. While appealing, I asked for additional clarification so I could avoid a similair situation in the future
and no kidding, the GM told me not to recruit in LFG.

That channel needs a new name. They dont like it when you actually use it to find people for groups

That’s against the rules though. Somebody at blizzard would see that and action the account for sure. But still. Flood reporting will squelch an account, it’s been proven before, this is to prevent chat abuse. But it’s not going to ban or suspend it.

Forgive my ignorance, but what does “Squelch” mean in this context? In my case I was locked out for 2 weeks.

Turn off raider io. It’s a bug and when you have rio enabled it hides the sabotage option. Known issue according to the rio discord. nobody wants to take ownership of from either side it seems

There’s a add on that lets you see all your addons and lets you load and disable while in game so you don’t need to log out and stuff

Squelch is when you cant talk in public channels, queue, or use the lfg tool for 7 days or until a GM reviews your case

It happens after 5ish people report you in a short amount of time

Raiderio has a lot of bugs I swear. Didn’t know this was one of them. But there are times I can’t promote somebody in the guild because of it. Which is another weird thing for that addon to affect.

Yeah I noticed that I had it one day when I played from my laptop which has no addons and then later that same day on my desktop it was gone. Played around a bit and say it was rio causing the issue reported it to the discord and it seems like they don’t care enough. Blizzard already has one of theirs in game too so it’s probably low tier ranked fix for them.

That’s obvious, given that most of that statement is entirely wrong.

Well, That group posting was probably not what you got suspended for.

Think back over everything you typed in game in the month before you got actioned, can you recall everything, and guarantee that there was no profanity, trolling, spamming, or denigrating other players at all?

Honestly this is why I generally vote yes to disband regardless of my feelings. If someone is done, the key is dead.

Dang that is an intresting bug, good to know for the future!

I have IO addon and the Archon tooltip disabled, and don’t have gameplay sabotage report option.

Pretty sure that one has to be reported by ticket.

I know this is going to sound asinine, but you need to have evidence for that ‘intentionality’. Otherwise it isn’t something that one can know. This is why this is a difficult thing to report and the only way to report it is via griefing, which requires additional steps as that’s one of the most serious claims that you can make (it is up there with stalking and cheating/hacking/exploiting).

That’s
not them holding you hostage, if you want to make this about anyone being held hostage it is the other way around. I have no idea what or how this “meltdown” transpired, but safe to say it sounds like the guy didn’t want to be there and wanted to leave.

So
rather than them leaving just normally, an abandon vote was called, and ya’ll decided to instead punish the guy. Blizzard has given you the tools to do this, so you punishing them in this sense is (unfortunately) entirely valid and within the CoC and ToS (as it is just using an in-game tool to do so), but
call it for what it is:

The tank had a “meltdown” and wanted to call the run a quits, and ya’ll said no and wanted to punish the guy by holding them hostage, which resulted in the tank allegedly intentionally behaving in a way that is akin to griefing ya’ll.

Next time, just accept the abandon vote. It is clear as day that folks who want to leave want to leave because they find it miserable to be there, and if ya’ll decide to want them to stick around against their will and want to do their job at that point, voting to abandon the key would have have prevented all of this.

This has absolutely nothing to do with “deranking” in terms of what is reportable under that category.

I’m looking at it right now in dornogal. My only suggestion is to turn off all addons and turn them on one by one to identify what’s causing the issue for you like I ended up doing. It’s always been a option in dragonflight probably even earlier

It may be because I’m in an instance, and they’ve disabled it in non-queue instances (since if it’s actually sabotage, the leader has the option to kick them).

Hey what’s up
